This post has been in my mind after a long time I didn’t checked my phone for photos. Yes, sad to say my mobile phone is the only other alternative if I don’t go out with my gadgets. Well, so armed with my Samsung D510 with a minimum specs of 1.2 MP camera, it’s time for some food review.

Xiao Fei Yang Steamboat

Well, me and a few friends decided to try something different. Steamboat at a place called Xiao Fei Yang. Ok sad to say it’s non-halal, so sorry for those who are muslims this round. Basically 小肥羊 means Small Fat Goat, so of course the dish of the day was goat meat.

To say it was a meal unsatisfied, it’s so so wrong. Well I am trying to get my seconds next time. What’s so different is that they have 3 type of soup to go along with it. There are the Normal, Very Hot and Herbal soup. Of course we chose the Herbal and the so called Very Hot.

It’s nice eating food you really wanted to try! Yes, I did had my fill in Ninja Jones but that’s gonna come in later. Long gone are the heydays of Sushi King. Now there are loads and loads of Japanese food coming into the country. So since I was loitering in Pavilion, the new shopping complex in the heart of KL town, let’s try something else. Say Sushi Zen.

Sushi Zen Banner
Looks it’s Sushi Zen

Sushi Zen was brought into the States from the far east of Japan. I mean the HQ now is at the States in Vancouver. O_o. Anyway in Pavilion, there’s one situated at the lowest floor. Yes, open concept. Seeing all these words bores a person. So let’s move on to our food.

Soft Shell Crab Temaki

Soft Shell Crab Temaki, one of the starters for me. Well, I find it small but instead of California Roll, why not try Soft Shell Crabs. But if this isn’t enough why not have a look at the next dish.

Tempura Sushi Rolls

Tempura or Prawns Sushi Roll, one of those sushi dish I ordered. But then before I had this I was eating my main dish. Well, was way way too full before I had this, but then it was worth it. So what is the main dish??

Sake Salmon Sashimi

Sake Sashimi or some call it Salmon Sashimi, yes… I love sashimis. Well, to me Salmon have to be eaten raw. If they’re cooked, it’s like the thrill isn’t there. You might be thinking, “That’s All???” Ahaks… of course I ate something else too.

Unagi Rice Meal

Unagi Rice Meal, or rather Eel Meat with rice. Now what can I not miss eating but Unagi Rice. The ultimate Japanese food dish which I always love to eat.

So what do I have to say about all this?? Well, the food’s pretty appetizing. Of course it is, else I wouldn’t even talk about it. Price is mighty standard with the location in Pavilion itself. So if you think of trying to get those J. Co donuts but saw the long queue and decided to eat something else, have a try here.

Yes, most of you would have guessed that the previous place was in Sunway Pyramid.

Here’s some explanation to the snow thingy! The snow only falls at random times, though I must tell you, it isn’t snow. But it felt like snow, basically you just have to be there to see what it is. Don’t expect snow though, too expensive to be done there.

Hungry People

It was funny watching their expression as they wait for the steamboat to arrive. And yes, it’s finally here.

Goat Meat

Tender meat, goat’s meat. 羊肉. Since it’s buffet style, we ordered lotsa food. Though we need to personally ask for the goat’s meat since because if it’s out there, it’ll be gone in a jiffy. Pity those customers who doesn’t know about this.

Well, that is one of those many other buffet food which includes crabs, prawns, jellyfish, fish (lotsa bones), mussels, clams, etc. The price is right too, it’s only RM20 per person.

Full but still eating

I’ve eaten many prawns, just show how much food is on the table still. Greedy people, but in the end finish too. Should have more food gatherings like this.

• Seafood Tambun Penang

Craving for seafood? Yeah, it’s been the same to me. I’ve been craving for seafood. Well, it’s been awhile since I last ate seafood and this time, I am so so so gonna post my Tambun Seafood post.

Yes, back in August, I went to Penang and on the way to island, stopped by Tambun and guessed what. Duh!!! Definitely seafood. Yup, known to be one of the famous seafood place in Penang, Tambun is the place. Don’t ask me the direct address though. I just know that it’s the nicest place to eat there.

Cooked Snails

What food is that? Edible??? Yes, they are snails, those edible types. It’s a delicacy in Malaysia, though some people don’t really know how to eat them. Basically you have to suck it out from the shell. Though remember not to fully suck it, there’s a part need to throw.

Fried Wanton

Well, when you’re enjoying seafood, what a better way to have fried wan ton with mayonnaise. Well, at least other than just seafood, something else brings refreshing things. But of course, all in all, the reason why a group of us went to Tambun was due to one of it’s famous dish. CRABS!!! Baked Crabs!!!

Baked Crab

Oh my…. the fine crabs. It was very appetizing though it was small compare to the White Crab in Perth. Well, anyway, I guessed if I were to go up to Penang once again, I will be dropping by Tambun first.

Seeing my own photos of this makes me hungry again. Guessed I got to go make my oat drink now. Best wishes to all of you. I know I haven’t been updating properly these few days. :)

Now I am starting to feel hungry. But wait, when I am hungry, I want people to feel how hungry I am too. So because of this, I am gonna post a food entry now. It’s been ages since I posted one. Well, not that I don’t want to, but is just that I am lazy. So all my food pictures are coming back to me. Wheee~~~

So where did I go this time?

La Rasita
26 Pesiaran Ampang
55000 Kuala Lumpur
tel. : 03-42526269
fax. : 03-42579503

Yes, it’s an Italian restaurant. Though the food is nice, and the portion is big. Big I tell you, I nearly couldn’t finish my spaghetti. So on with the food pics.

tiramisu

Parted Tiramisu. The thing about this is that there are many nice food to eat, but somehow a friend of mine wanted to eat the dessert first. So here’s the Tiramisu. Was cut in four. Though this was how it look before.

tiramisu1

Tiramisu. Pardon the quality, but I didn’t bring my camera that day. :P So what other stuffs you have there?

pizzacurrypuff

Pizza Puff. It was that big okay!!

foilspaghetti

Spaghetti Wrapped in Foil. It’s big also.

seafoodspaghetti

Seafood Spaghetti. Been eating this alot last time and the most expensive of all the spaghetti dish. But guess what I ate? Well, I wanted to be different this time, while some might not like the taste of it.

squidsaucespaghetti

Seafood Spaghetti in Squid Sauce. Ewwww??? No… It’s unique and to me it taste good. I mean you can still taste the squid smell. I am weird eh.. Well, what about my drink? Shouldn’t a weird dish be served with a weird drink?

So I called a Belgian Coffee. Well, someone called Irish Coffee already, so what the heck!

belgiancoffee

Not your everyday Coffee. This one is mixed with LIQUOR. Yes, alcohol. Well, though I finished mine while the rest who ordered Liquor Coffee couldn’t drink theirs’ finish. I even ate one of the coffee bean. Well noticed the two black thing on top, those are coffee beans.

Rating :

Overall I would rate this place a nice place to eat Italian food. Nice presentation and the staffs are friendly too. Food overall taste good and in big helping. If you’re looking for something below RM20, though don’t come here. A rating of 4/5 from me.
