Modem Fried. CPU fried. What else??? Even my hard disk crashed on me. Time to get a new computer? Well, this scenario did happened to me a few years back. Back then the only possible solution I can think of is just get a brand new computer to use. Somehow it works.
Though somehow I wished I knew how to build a computer from scratch then. Yes, I live in the era of the 486 and my first PC was a Pentium 166Mhz. It’s now so easy to build a PC on your own and save about $100 of cost. Well, instead of paying for the assembled pc and saving on the extra cost that somehow the shop charges you, why not get a basic starter kit of a PC module and start building it instead. But understood, many people actually think about it second time of fixing their own PC less they themselves destroyed the components themselves. Not advisable for non computer or technical savvy person.
Though I do hope that if you’re really going to assemble your PC, just wait till you see how this guy assembled his. ROFL!!
my first computer was a 486 😛 and all i did was played paperboy on it @_@ but of course my parents used it for their office work too 😀
i can still remember the first time i assembled my own pc, the joy of it booting up for the first time was indescribable, ROLF. now i sound like a freaking nerdish pc guy.
but really ler, like you said it saves cost 🙂
