4 Efficient Ways to Relieve Neck and Back Pain

Around 70% of adults will experience some form of neck or back pain at some point in their lifetime. It is always best to talk to a physician when you experience them altogether to relieve neck and back pain, to find if the potential cause could be from an unknown underlying condition or an accident, muscle strain, stress, or degenerative disease. Once you have discovered the cause, finding the proper treatment can be essential in easing your pain.

This is me trying to perform the limbo rock and because of that I might even have a back pain. Well, to most people this will definitely incur back pain. In order to mitigate this, you will need to find ways to relieve neck and back pain in any ways.

Side note: It was a good thing I was still flexible then and also got my hands on the prize. I bet that I am not able to do that right now though. Though with enough practice, I think it is still possible.

Anyway, below are four treatments you may want to consider to relieve neck and back pain if you experienced any of it.

1. Exercise

When suffering from neck or back pain, some simple stretches and exercises may help to ease the tension and pain. Stretching can help loosen the muscles which in turn can alleviate the discomfort.

Be it a simple run or mountain climbing or even any strenuous activity, one thing I always emphasize is WARM UP. Without warming up and stretching the muscles before the real exercise, this might incur damage on one’s back and neck.

Do also exercise on your own pace. Do not overdo an exercise which would further aggravate the back and neck pain. Every has a limit to the exercise that they could do. Once you are comfortable with the current pace, you can then pick up the pace.

2. Massage

Neck and back pain may be greatly reduced with massage. Whether it be deep muscle massage or hot stone treatments, Fredericksburg massage can help relax sore and stiff muscles, which may help to lessen the pain you are experiencing.

I find that going to a spa or a massage parlor is a very good remedy to relieve neck and back pain. I do miss the occasional visit for a very good massage.

3. Chiropractor

There may be times when your vertebrae become out of alignment. A chiropractor can perform a cervical manipulation on your neck as well as manipulation of the back to diminish tension from pinched nerves or muscle spasms.

Of course this is only recommended if you really experienced extreme back and neck pain.

4. Medication

Sometimes you may find that a simple over the counter medication can help ease the pain and inflammation. In other cases, you may want to talk with your physician about medications they may want to prescribe to help ease your neck and back pain.

There are many options out there to help lessen the pain and suffering you may be experiencing with your neck and back. Depending on the initial cause, your treatment may vary. Take the time to talk to a doctor or chiropractor to find what treatment or treatments may be right for you.
