Matta fair has just passed, well, though there are lots of places that I would like to visit. Well, having been to Taiwan, Japan, South Korea (the 3 fashion countries), I decided maybe I would like to try somewhere far west. Well, maybe not that too far but somewhere around the land of Greece specifically Athens.
Traveling there would be a different environment thus since I was looking for places to go and hotels to stay I guessed it is okay to share my travel plans and thoughts on my personal travel blog.
As I center about Greece, most of us know about the Greek mythologies where the almighty Zeus, along with Hera and the other gods originated from. It is also amazing to see the places live where we used to watch on television. In Greece the places to visit would be the olden day temples and shrines. As usual the famous temple which is called the Parthenon is one not to be missed.
Well, for a wanderer like me, this will be like a very historical visit and definitely a place for photography. Predicting at least 2 days visit temples and shrines around Athens. Not to be missed are also the theatres, archaeological museums and one of my favorite Greek gods, Poseidon’s temple.
Best time to visit would be either around spring or autumn where the weather is neither too hot nor too cold. Of course, travel destinations and places to visit are the easiest to plan; the hardest part would be to find an accommodation or specifically saying an Athens hotel which is affordable and up to par.
I guessed the main point in finding a place to stay in Athens would be somewhere near the easiness of transport and that actually would be my main point.
Here’s a breakdown of how many days to spend in Athens, Greece.
Day 1: Arrival in Athens, Greece and check in to hotel Athens Greece.
Day 2: Free & Easy – Street Walkabout to get used to the conditions and to look out for convenience stores and other services.
Day 3: Visit the main Parthenon temple and the surrounding temple areas
Day 4: Visit the archeological sites and the museum for more historical background
Day 5: Other attractions noted to visit would be Port of Piraeus, Flea Market, Central Market.
Day 6: Free & Easy, night life in Psiri.
Day 7: Free & Easy and short site visit to the Temple of Poseidon for memorable photos.
The above is a photofit of the Piraeus Athens port.
I guessed 1 week would be more than enough and actually the plan
So anyone interested in helping me to plan for this so called future trip? Do give me some head start.
Athens is amazing! Make sure to have maps handy, in case there are an transportation strikes. People were very nice, especially because tourism is such a major part of their economy. You’ll have an excellent time!
