Traveling on a Road Trip?
Traveling in an RV allows for many possibilities. You have the freedom to visit multiple locations, can switch up your plans and can easily incorporate time spent outside into your trip. If you’re hoping to drive your RV to one location and stay there for several days or weeks, here are three things that will influence your decision for the road trip.
Another benefit of vacationing in your RV is that it comes with many of the home comforts you’re used to. Be sure to consider whether you need electric hook-ups, a dump station or WiFi. Some RV parks even have laundry facilities on-site, which could be important if you’ll be there for a while. Searching for Kemah RV sites or wherever you plan to visit will help you determine which sites have what you need. Don’t forget to factor in the size of your rig so that you know for certain you’ll fit into the allotted spot.
Length of Stay
Don’t assume that RV parks or campgrounds will allow you to stay for an unlimited amount of time. While some do have long-term options, others have a cap of fourteen days or less. Carefully review the park’s policies so that you aren’t scrambling to find a place. If not you might end up like how I put up to this room when the RV broke down.
Think carefully about what your goal is for this next trip. Are you hoping to explore a nearby town, or is your desire to get as far away from civilization as possible? Do you want to visit local restaurants or go hiking every day? If your desire is for a more remote getaway, be sure you are prepared to handle an emergency such as your vehicle breaking down in a location without cell phone reception.
By thinking hard about what’s important to you and doing your research, you’ll be sure to enjoy a memorable and relaxing vacation.
