Jogging Training For Wild Wild Run

Posted by Daniel Chew On March - 5 - 2009

Small Talk

Found another food kaki Mandy Yen and looks like more places I could go to have some food tasting and tryouts.

.

It’s now Wednesday, and that means another 4 days before the Wild Wild Run at Zoo Negara. It looks like only 4 more days more to train, alright another 3 more days to train before the final rest day. For someone like me who hasn’t been exercising for a long time, it looks like back to basics once again to keep myself fit. I am glad I took up this run, at least it forces me to start exercising than to just sit down on the chair working and eating and sleeping which I usually do.

So on with the power bar, protein shake and any source of protein to beef myself up. A few cans of 100 Plus will greatly help at times. Well, this reminds me of the time when Kenny Sia was taking part in the Penang Bridge Marathon, which I will one day would love to run. Well, if you would love to take part in the Penang Bridge Marathon 2009 , you can do so on 6th March 2009 for the early bird registration.

Kenny Sia and Daniel Chew

But Kenny Sia is Kenny Sia, Daniel Chew is Daniel Chew. He is of a shape, I am of a…. of a not in shape. Even though we share the same age. Darn….

The things one do to get in shape and physique just so that I don’t embarrass myself in front of the others. One thing I found out when doing long distance running is that I will be wearing very short shorts and running shoes and perhaps just the singlet. Go in light condition and come out a victor.

Now to finish the race in the maximum of 1.5 hours with a distance covering about 9.25km (1.85km x 5) will be very hard on some people, but if there’s the spirit to do it I think one can. Though I already spent 2km of running today and I was practically exhausted. Darn…. looks like more weight training for me to do tomorrow.

As of now more updates on it are on this site and if any of you want to show some support, come join in the fun. Or rather let’s have some look around the zoo shortly afterwards. I shall retire now with a goal in mind.

Squeeky Deer

Posted by Daniel Chew On December - 27 - 2008

You know you’ve been to the zoo and realised that sometimes certain shots are so authentic and so the sudden that if you are there at the right time and place you’ll get a perfect shot that you will be proud of yourself. These are what we call natural shots.

Now how about some squeeky Expression. Let’s here the deer go “SQUEEEEK~~~”

Squeeky Deer

Now what do you know…. squeek because he is getting an erection? or because he had his full.

ps : I haven’t been around photohunt for the past 4 weeks. Woah… that’s a long time. Maybe it’s time to revive it back due to the fact that it’s finally after Christmas. By the way Happy Upcoming New Year 2009 and Blessed Belated Christmas to all. :)

Cold Blooded Zoo Negara

Posted by Daniel Chew On July - 15 - 2008

An exciting trip to the zoo. Well, it was for me. But so far I’ve only let you people see the warm blooded animals. What about the cold blooded animals. The reptiles. This brings us to our final episode of the visitation to the National Zoo of Malaysia (Zoo Negara Malaysia). Catchy title? Haha.. well, it’s about the reptiles and amphibians. Oh wait, I did explained that earlier on.

One of the biggest reptile on earth, the crocodile. Amazing creatures they are, crikey.. Now I am starting to miss Steve Irwin and his crocodilic adventures.

Lazy Crocodile

This handsome hard scaly creature was a good pose alright. With it’s gaping mouth and excellent posture bathing under the sun, I must say it’s big enough to put my whole head into it. I should have gone for their feeding session, giving chickens. Very dramatic if you were to watched it. Oh, forgot to tell ya, they feed chickens to the pythons too.

There are many many reptiles and amphibians around, just that I decided to show a few. Well, there’s always flickr around right. (Just that I rarely update the photos there too)

Presenting the slow moving creatures, the tortoise. Kura-kura in the National Language.

Posing Tortoise

Well, I can tell you, they’re one of the easiest to take photoshots of. Why? Cause they’re slow and hardly move. So because of this factor, I am presenting another close friend of this tortoise guy.

Mammals of The Zoo

Posted by Daniel Chew On July - 12 - 2008

Time for another visit to the Zoo. The bull has asked for it. It’s now back to the mammal class instead of the birds. Well, so considering the mammals pride, let’s bring it on. The Bull with it’s wonderful horns.

I love the vivid colors on the Nikon body.

The Bull

Mooooooo…….. don’t mess with me yeah…

Aside from the bull or the cow or the buffalo or whatever you want to call it, So what do you call a male elephant?

A bull right :P , so let’s say hello to the elephant. Well, this time a decent close up on the elephant. Please mind the biggieness in this photo.
