Simple Preview of Tanah Lot Bali

Posted by danielctw On January - 20 - 2010

Officially back from Indonesia (Yogyakarta – Jakarta – Bali) just 2 days ago and since I am still doing some photo processing, here’s the group that went for the trip. It’s like a place I would love to go again for more photoshoots and relaxation.

Photos taken from AaronWoolala

Officially danielctw.com will still be around, but stay tune for another upcoming blog which shows a whole new different perspective of what I will be blogging about. Strange isn’t it? Why can’t I keep to one blog? Well, there’s a reason for it. I am going niche.

So be sure to keep an eye on more photos and group photos and more and more photos in this blog. Love the photo? Why not join us next time for other trips?

Langkawi Part 2 – People

Posted by danielctw On August - 27 - 2009

Langkawi didn’t just have nice scenery or rather scenes to take photos of. What fun is there if one just go to Langkawi island all alone to take photos without a bunch of crazy people. Those you can play and go crazy and “siao siao” (lunacy) with. Now admiringly there are 9 of us and this is where the fun started.

Eagle of Langkawi

There was a day where we went for eagle watch on one of the days. For those that visited my facebook album from the previous post, you would know that it’s not easy capturing them with just a 200mm lens. Budget required for 400mm lens. So why not this mighty eagle serve it’s purpose instead.

So just who were the crazy gang? Let’s get them into the picture.

Crazy Langkawi Gang

Now how many people do you see there? 7 or 8? (Thought it was 9, duh… Daniel is the one taking this photo) Well, all getting ready to pose for the camera. Some loves to pose with their back exposed like the 2 white shirted people. Wonder what they were thinking? It’s totally weird, wondering why the rest are ready and only 2 people posing like that. Hee… hee…

Do you actually see the 8th person in the photo? Well, if you don’t see him/her there, the next photo might reveal what that person was planning to do when he first stepped into the Island of Langkawi.

Hamsap William at Langkawi

Now you know why he loves Langkawi! All for the wrong reason. So WTF right? The rest of us took photos of ourself while he go chat up the white chick at the background. (pun intended… person in the photo please don’t kill me) WAHAHAHA!!!

That was Day 1 and yes, the day past by so fast without doing much. Day 2 was slightly better and more things to witness. It was meant to be a full day activity filled. It was also meant to be the day to buy all the alcohol one needed. For example I bought Absolut, Baileys and a Red Wine. Oppps.. and I just found out I have in stock 3 Baileys at home. (I seriously didn’t know)

Remember that guy above with the orange shirt. Somehow I found someone else with Orange too. Try to guess who. It’s none other than Mr Ma Lao.

Huh?? Who???

Have a look below…

Lonely Monkey

Ta Dah~~~~~ Orange Coat with a long black tail. Hohoho… look alike or not? Wahh~~~~~

Okay does this count as people? Not really!

Forgotten to mention, first day was actually fun. When we were a few hundred meters above sea level. Right on top the Hanging Bridge of Langkawi. Though it’s more of like a sky bridge. This is where Daniel makes his appearance. Well, I should be appearing in my blog right?

Bridge Slumber Post

Damn… I look so plain. So bored. So not attractive. Of course, because I wanted to make the scenery looks nicer. (What rubbish!!!) It was a magnificent sight to behold, seeing how high we were. So high, we can actually do bungee jump if there was actually one in Langkawi. Just too bad that there ain’t one.

But what I like about this bridge and it’s wide and vast background is that one can pose for the camera. Now how about a pose? Well, who else to do the pose but with Yen.

Pose Photo

Nice leh :P Don’t jealouse can. Both also expert in posing. XP

Heeee… what do you think about the photo? Of course it’s way way way nicer if you compare to the above photo with the one below. The one below is one photo which I wouldn’t want to get caught taking for real. If you’re in my situation, you will understand.

GGP William

HELP HELP HELP ME

That’s the same guy with the orange shirt and look at what he’s doing now? OMG~~~~ Help me please.

ps : Seriously all photos taken and things wrote here are meant for fun and laughter and to make it look weird. Especially photos with William (yes that guy with the Orange shirt)

I can almost hear my saviours coming to help me, devising a plan to help me out from this problem. Just look at how serious they’re discussing. THe plans, the thoughts, the deep in thought posture, all to help me out from this situation. Way to go girls.

Female Gang of Langkawi

HELP IS ON THE WAY. JUST NEED TIME TO DISCUSS (don’t take too long though)

Before I even know it, there seems to be a solution. Finally the answer is out. They’ve found the solution, none other than one of the crazy gang in Langkawi. None other than our very own eyebrow guy, our Aaron Braces Guy.

Look what he did to save me?

AaronWoolala With Seducing Tshirt

What a good plan. A good message to send. Hee hee hee…. (Aaron don’t kill me also).

So there we have it, photos to see how much fun we had in Langkawi. There are lots of other photos which I haven’t finished uploading and I believe Facebook will be having loads of it. To end this hilarious make believe post, I shall present to you a photo, with dialogue amongst the people who went with Daniel to Langkawi.

Busy Scene Act in Langkawi

What a day we all had!

Signing off now. It’s 2:33am.

Never thought that I could conjure something up like this, but that’s where my weirdness come into place. So do stay tune in the coming future for more posts from the Weird One. Adios.

Langkawi Part 1 – Landscape

Posted by danielctw On August - 24 - 2009

The smell of the sea, the sight of sun, beach and girls. This sentence reminds me of baywatch (some old series that I used to see when I was like in primary school). Well, too bad though, there won’t be any baywatch girls to see this time around. Keep it for the next visit. This time though, it’s time to revisit my past escapades to an island in Malaysia, Langkawi Island. The place known because it’s tax free.

Langkawi Beach

First day upon landing at Langkawi with my flight ticket, it is as usual with a bunch of photography enthusiasts, non-stop shooting. The sky was partly right, with a bit of haze on some of the days.

It was scorching hot, but you will see many foreigners (from the west) do their sunbathing under the glorious sun. It was so bright and hot, there are even those who have their skin peeled off. Wonder how they can stand sunbathing under the sun with peeled-off skin and all the pus?

Lonely Beach Volleyball Sand Court

It was too hot, till no one plays at the beach volleyball court. Well, what can one expect when it’s like 11am in the morning. Most of Day one was spent taking photos of scenery, looking for a perspective to shoot. At times Daniel wished he owned a UWA (Ultra Wide Angle) lens, let’s say a 10-20mm Sigma to capture the great scene.

Kota Kinabalu Exploration Day

Posted by danielctw On May - 25 - 2009

It was finally the second day of our trip in Kota Kinabalu where I will meet the rest of the group. Weird thing though is that this is the event before the island trip to Pulau Manukan. The weather wasn’t fine thus I took limited shots.

Here are the past episodes in case you dropped here via search engines.

Part 1 – Flight To Kota Kinabalu Sabah
Part 2 – Pulau Manukan Special

So walking on at Kota Kinabalu town, we stopped at what we called the KK Street Market. Hmmm lot of things to see, though none I would buy. I am impressed though with some of the collections.

Nikon D300 Shots

Kota Kinabalu Street Market

This feels just like Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur where there are tonnes and tonnes of souvenirs and handicrafts. Of course one thing that amazes me is a Top or a “Gasing” locally made. How does it look like though?

Spinning Top Gasing

Now who would have thought of playing a “gasing”/top using this method. The funny thing though, this top produces sound because they punctured a hole in the center. The peddler was demonstrating the way to play the Top over and over again. Well, I was fascinated and my first time seeing this type of design.

Seafood Noodle

Now then after what seemed fascinating, then the group of us had our breakfast which is seafood noodle that was supposingly famous there called New Man Tai. Of course the way it was arranged is a LITTLE BIT WEIRD. Then after that you will now know that we gone to the island hop which was the previous post in Pulau Manukan.

After the island trip, we came back to the Jetty and yes walked the way back to the condominium. On the way saw a few native fishing boats.

Kota Kinabalu Fishing Boats

What a wonderful sight living just beside the sea. Well, you can hardly see these kind of atmosphere in the coming future, so why not cherished it by taking some photos so that when the future comes, people can see what a sight the past holds. After like minutes of walking, finally reached the desired destination. The Marina Court Condominum.

Putrajaya Hot Air Balloon

Posted by danielctw On April - 5 - 2009

Small Talk

I am starting a food blog and also a blog dedicated to Photography, more like a portfolio page. Be sure to stay tune.

.

On your marks get set go~~ It’s the F1 Race. Oh no wait, wrong topic. It’s the day when the Hot Air Balloon 2009 event that was happening in Putrajaya just a few weeks ago. So what about it? You didn’t know about it? I nearly couldn’t make it for this event as I got up later than usual and lucky a call from AaronWoolala managed to wake me up and off I fly to the place which took me 30 minutes from my housing area. What do you expect? Putrajaya, I need to go like 100km/h to 110km/h or 120km/h to reach there in that time.

Jeep Starting The Balloon

It looks like there are some balloons not up in the air yet when I reached there. Too bad I can’t enter the field though, but that’s where my trusty DX 55-200mm zoom lens come into handy. During daylight, no worries of lowlight condition, although I forgotten to set my ISO settings back to the lowest ISO. (oits…. too technical for non-photographer enthusiast).

The event was fantastic, I mean I don’t really get to see Hot Air Balloons in Malaysia as the place here is always full of rain and thunderstorms and yeah… rain and rain and rain. Now lucky it was a beautiful day and there’s hot air balloon to see. I was actually trying to be able to get to sit in the balloon though.

Hot Air Balloon Flying Off

Now look at the balloon going off, now look at the pitiful humans still staying down there. Darn, I wished I was in the balloon.
