I Missed Perth

Posted by danielctw On February - 9 - 2008

I really missed being in Perth. The place where I met with my godsister, a friend and also a shouter. Well, I am still saving up for a trip back there, and maybe thinking of finding a holiday and if the opportunity is given, go there to study. The problem now is finding flights to Australia is also pretty darn expensive.

Well, in all these, I missed camwhoring in Kingspark too. Ho ho ho… didn’t get to take much picture previously as I just bought my camera. Well, though it doesn’t mean it’s still not possible to do that again this year. I know I have other holiday destinations like Mount Kinabalu and Bali coming up, but maybe due to the serenity of the place in Perth, that’s what made me wanna go back there again. Well, in case you haven’t seen any photos yet, here are some pictures from the previous trips.

Those who knows me, how about a trip to Australia sometime this Spring eh?

Cheap Hotels in Perth

Posted by danielctw On December - 7 - 2007

Looks like after the Summer in Perth, it’s going to be Autumn. Another time for me to visit that city in Australia once more. Hmm…. Though this time I am going to come prepared. Definitely got to look for a better City Guide and most probably a Hotel Guide.

Not that I don’t want to visit other countries and states but just that it wasn’t fun enough when I went on a tour last time. I prefer Free & Easy. Of course, one of the main issues is budget. Finding a hotel, for a hotel like Grand Chancellor Perth, I am still comparing it even though it was supposed to be cheap. I still miss Kings Park and I found that it’s a beautiful scenery there at night. So off my camera goes! *shoot shoot shoot*

Beautiful Scenery in Kings Park
Beautiful Scenery in Kings Park

Though some precautions need to be taken care of while searching for nightlife in Perth. Especially in Northbridge. Just don’t stay too late. Well, who knows who I might bump into next time.

Well, when one is in Perth or anywhere in Australia, a must visit to the native animals which are the kangaroos, wallabies and wombat. Anyway if any of you have any other hotels to recommend other than Grand Chancellor Hotel, please help me recommend one. I wouldn’t know because I haven’t stayed in other hotels before other than Mercure Hotel. You can visit other hotels list here too.

Perth IV – Finale

Posted by danielctw On September - 16 - 2007

Cavernsham WildLife

Here are the other Perth Travel Logs

Perth Part I – Clouds
Perth Part II – Journey
Perth Part III – Park

Looks like another final installment. Yes!!! There are still people who can’t get enough of it. So… here’s the final post. Who wanted to see the Tazmanian Devil. Hmm.. too bad I can’t get a close shot of it. Need a VR 200mm lens. So I need sponsors. One way you can help me is Advertlets.

Yes!!! For those that thought the Tazmanian Devil was extinct, it’s not alright. They are still here and yes, looks like a dog to me. But only fiercer and yes…. they are fierce ok. The only picture I can get, I seriously need a zoom lense. Don’t blame me for getting a lousy shot. It’s too far away I agree. Anyway it was a bit rush but look at the next photo

Carrying a Wombat

LOL… This is a big big creature. Which actually is a rodent that lives underground and it’s super tame. Yes… the Wombat is really cute it loves to hug it’s keeper. Wombat Wombat Wombat!! I should create my logo based on Wombat. Feels nice. haha..

Emu

What the??? An emu this close? Haha… I think this is more common to be seen elsewhere, but then I don’t want this Emu to be left out.

So you’ve seen some of the wildlife, yes, the Tazmanian Devil is finally revealed. Though it doesn’t laugh like a hyena. All this makes me hungry. I should seriously eat. Must camwhore a little bit ok. No one misses me at all???

Dinner Pose

Oh yeah… I realized I can still do the peace sign pose. It’s rare to shoot this kind of photo since a very long time. Got this shot from one of my colleagues. Oh… I just have to end this post once again, with a pose that some people are bound to ask, why you so lansi. Haha!! I can’t help it ok, I love to act serious and cool.

Lansi Pose

Haha!!! I know I know, you are so gonna kill me right? Everyone’s so carefree while I look the pose to be “lan si”(Arrogant and cool, for those needed English translation). So this is indeed the final fixture of my Perth entry. Though I can continue to post more about it, if there was a request made. So anymore Australia photos you need to see, do comment here. If the responses are not much, then I consider this the final post for Perth. Besides don’t wanna bore you all for looking at shots that aren’t interesting right? :P

So danielctw signing off now. It’s 3:27am…

Perth III – Park

Posted by danielctw On September - 13 - 2007

Yes, it’s the continuation of the

Perth experience. For those that miss the previous posts, here are the links below.

Perth Part I – Clouds
Perth Part II – Journey

It’s time to relish back the Perth, Australia experience. Yes… for those that have been waiting. First I’ll talk about my experience. It’s indeed good to get to meet a few people who are living in Perth and somehow also drop by Perth to get to meet those familiar faces.

Yes… it’s a very interesting thing. Years ago, I highly unlikely will find strangers or even bother to go out to meet strangers. Don’t really know what changes me. Maybe because of Kenny Sia and his adventures, thus gave me a revelation to go traveling and just meet friendly people.

Sheena And Me

Yes… amazing. I was like shocked to see Sheena whom I knew since my college years here in Perth. What do you know, she’s here for her company trip and of all places, met in Perth. Haha!! While she’s in KL, I didn’t even go and find her. I think it’s like err.. 4-5 years I didn’t see her. Too bad didn’t have much time to talk as the bus has already arrived and I need to board the tour bus. Maybe I’ll catch up with her later when I am back to KL, which I am now seriously procrastinating due to laziness.

Danel and Phoebe

Ok, I don’t have a proper shot, so this photo was sent by my little sister in Perth. Yes.. for those that don’t know, I am so happy to meet my ‘mei mei’ Phoebe or her online nick ‘Puresky’ in Perth. Thanks for bringing me around Perth, and walking all the way from Kingspark to Murray Street. Haha.. one thing though, she says I am too skinny O_o. Guessed I need to put on weight. Better still why not I stay in Perth, and everyday eat Fish and Chips, sure confirm gonna put on weight. Dang…. weight training coming right up. Suddenly I miss my Perth life, get big helpings of meat and fish and chips. HAHAHA!!

Daniel and Ryu and Gift
from left : Gif, infamous Daniel, Ryu

Haha!!! This post. How did I meet them. Yes… they are Shouters from ShoutOut created by Lasker and Elise. Ok.. at least one of them is a shouter and another a potential shouter. Shouters are usually bloggers. Yes, this is the picture which was taken at NorthBridge, dangerous place during the night. Well, places full of bars, and sex shops. Haha!! Yes, for those who have been reading my previous post, Ryu especially since she’s been waiting and afraid I might post her very very cute and funny photo. So then this is a normal post. Yes, and anyone wanna know them, please pay me in advance into my Paypal. =P. *takes this opportunity to ask Ryu for blackmail! :P *

Yes, so now you have it. What a way a blogger like me moving about and having fun with life. Life wouldn’t be so boring if sometimes go out and explore. Well, I think I said enough. What about the sceneries of Perth, Australia. MORE!! MORE!! MORE!! Ok ok … the theme for now is The Park & the Natives. Here are the other shots.

KingsPark

This is Kingspark for those that don’t really know. I was lucky the sun shone at the right time, giving me a perfect shot of people relaxing at the sunlight. Yes.. it’s the direct opposite from the ones in KL. In Kuala Lumpur, Malaysia, while having a picnic or lazing around, we always avoid the sun as it’s hot and humid, but here… the sun is like a blessing. Since the weather is cool and breezy, having a tad bit of sunlight really feels err.. nice.

The Sun At Kingspark

Trying to get a lens flare shot but the picture came out too overexposed. Yes… make sure you have a UV protector on your lens or it’ll damage your autofocus. Never ever aim your lens directly at the sun or you’ll face having your lens spoilt. Just testing stuffs, so I know that photo’s not nice. Not enough vivid the color. I think photo geeks will know what I meant. So if you’re picking up photography, there’s always a stepping stone to start learning.

Kingspark Night

The friends and Shouter that I met said that I shouldn’t miss the night scene at Kings Park. Hmm… ya.. I am lazy so I will always write Kingspark :D Well, the lightings at night makes the road so mysterious. I just have to had a shot of it.

So what’s next? Let’s go check the natives of Australia. I meant wild animals. Not aborigines. =.=”

Koala

Native Number 1, the Koala Bears. Yes from this point onwards, most of the shots are taken from Cavernshem Wildlife Park. So see the cute cute Koala Bear. Yes, they are cute and timid. Always clung to the tree barks. But one thing though, they are still wild animals. Just look at the claws this animal have. One grab at your arm, have fun bleeding then.

White Peacock

We’ve always see the normal peacock. But what about a white peahen or white peacock. Look it’s white!! White I tell you. Well, maybe it’s something new to me. So just take a sniffy shot of it. Well, there are other animals that we can’t see in Malaysia, take for example the Tazmanian Devil. Yes… there really is something called the Tazmanian Devil, that’s how Looney Toons have that character.

White Kangaroo

When you’re at Australia, nothing beats looking out for the kangaroo. Though this one a bit special. White Kangaroo. Yes… white again. Something we don’t always get to see in my home country. Unless of course you practically went to the zoo. I did touched the animals which are the Koalas and Kangaroos. we even fed the kangaroos directly from our palm. Just don’t be so pushy and touched them wrongly or else you’ll get a kick by them, which can be fatal or guys, if they hit your ‘xiao di di’, say bye bye and I will say Congratulations!

So what do you think then? Need more post on the Australia trip I had? How about the trip to Tumbulgum Farm! Sheep shearing and others. Well, pictures are what it’s worth right? Anyway, signing off right now. I still misssssss the weather there! Well only for spring and autumn though. Anyone wants to go again next year? I am planning to go again!! Wheee~~~~

Perth II – Journey

Posted by danielctw On September - 10 - 2007

So I promised a few of you guys for more Perth photos. Yes… so where did I stay? Of course it’ll be a hotel. For those that missed it, don’t worry here’s the link.

Perth Part I – Clouds

Mercure Hotel
Mercure Hotel, Irwin Street, nice set of wines at the bar. Though didn’t get to like have some wine there.

The Cruise Ship

The first day, after touchdown… the following day went straight for a swanbell lake tour. Yes, though it wasn’t this boat. It was another Captain. Captain Cook!

On the Cruise

Look at the boat. The captain’s at the upper deck. Yes, you might not see him well from here. Some can’t resist the outdoors or rather the outer deck of the boat and looking at the sceneries. Well, basically this one will go all the way to Freemantle.

Pelican

One of the most common birds in Perth is the Pelican. Why can’t I see more of them in Malaysia?? There are also lots of seagulls. Yes… they are plenty. Hmm… must be because of the food here. Oh yeah, never leave your food unattended when eating at the open, they come in big numbers and eat your food in an instant.

Fish & Chips

The famous fish and chips. Yes Cicerelli’s. Superb big portion. Something which I missed eating. Why Malaysia got such small helping when I order fish and chips. Now it’s never the same. Been eating fish and chips, and on Sunday, that was the last time I ate in Berjaya Times Square. See the portion, I really felt not full already.

FreeMantle Tram

Yes, it’s Freemantle Tram tour. Too bad can’t sit on it. Well we have our very own ride to Freemantle market.

Daniel in Perth

So is it ever enough this tour? Hmm.. want to see more of it? No worries, it’ll come with more shots of the native of Australia, the Kangaroo and Koalas and Wombats… too many of them. Please help support me by having a look at the advertlets ads! Thx!!!
