A few days ago, I had an invitation to attend this early makan session with the foodies or what most people refer them as food bloggers. Well, I enjoy food as well, and it sure was great to have this great company of people.

All in all, there are a number of Malaysian foodies which attended this ‘makan’ ala eating session initiated by TheQguides.com and what a better place to do it at Carlsberg, Shah Alam who is one of their partners. Hmm.. what actually interest me to go for this event was the courtesy of the staffs in TheQguides and also the unlimited beer.

I first went in and saw, wow nice place for a gathering. I was greeted by a few member of the staffs of TheQguides and had a chat to get to know the team. Well, it was worth it. At least it was good that they are efficient in their people handling. Then I was thinking, now where’s the food you guys promised me. Instead they got me this.

Then if it wasn’t enough, they got me this too.

The intoxification of these to get us into a feeling that whatever they say, we will concur. Not really. They’re a bunch of nice people with a taste for beer.

Of course, how can you call this a food blogger gathering without food. So on with the food and yes the rumbling of the stomach.

Hmm.. local Malaysia dishes. Local but still fit to eat.

I give my thumbs up. Look at all of us go at the food. Oh that’s Wilson and Jason over there, fellow bloggers.

The after our feast, Jek Tan, co-founder of TheQguides.com, gave a presentation about what does the team plan to achieve and more about them. They really have an interesting concept.

Upcoming features of TheQguides.com are what every food crazy people would do *okay not everyone but mostly, errr me…* That’s because I get to make table reservations online and even get rewarded for dining out * This is the obvious plus point, you get rewarded just because you ate* . I think what every food finders, bloggers would do is to look at a site to find a certain review on food, and that’s what their food portal is all about too.

I believe it’s a great idea. Now to psyche those people’s brain and what better people to do it then the man himself, Jek Tan.

Now how can I forget Carlsberg that provided us with unlimited beer, shandy and other liquor from the same brand. To top it off, a Liverpool fan is always a Liverpool fan and what more the sponsor of such a club. (What’s that supposed to mean??)

The way down memory lane is tricky. More intriguing than I thought. Previously you would have known that kokorobox under the guidance of Joey Tong or rather the founder of it, have organized their Port Dickson Year End Barbeque Party for the members of his forum. Here are the few lost photos which I took with some of the members.

Yes, there are actually more people in the group but these are the few who were there when I paid a visit to them in the rented bungalow. Great bunch of people, especially what is that guy doing sitting on another guy. I think must be because of the night before’s hangover.

So I chose a few photos which I got from David’s camera. One of them is another blogger who is also in kokorobox and I think for once she deserves some link love here.

Yes, that’s Connie of Connie Still Believe blog. Ya, blame me for being bias for taking with girls but I think if I were to take pictures with a guy, then that’ll look so wrong. O_o…..

How many people are there actually. Well, look what we did. I guessed there’ll be another gathering again next year.

Now 3rd Year Anniversary and the names of people who are there. That’s Jennifer by the way. One of Connie’s friend. I guessed that’s all there is to say about this trip and some of the things we do or rather more or less taking photos.

A rather late post but then it’s worth mentioning, since it’s been awhile since I last met my college mates and what a better place to hold a mini gathering than at Kuala Lumpur. Though the place we had lunch gathering was at Sushi King. Hmm… why Sushi King? Place to chat and eat Japanese food. Ha Ha… and I was just after my Japanese class too.

Well surprisingly, no one was interested in the sushi though. Well, maybe the next time. But what I meant by next time, I am sure some of you have heard about the cheap sushi promotion once again which is on the Monday 13 October, 2008 – Thursday 16 October, 2008.

Surprisingly after counting the years… it really was a long long time. I haven’t seen them since my Advance Diploma years which is like 6 years ago? A small group indeed but I guessed we can all say what a great year ahead of us too, with each of us doing our own seperate stuffs in our career and how we progress during our lifetime.

Here’s to the friends, may we strive for what we aim to seek.

The day was Thursday. It happened instantenously the day before that DanielCtw decided to join the group of Shouters for a karaoke session. Well, in fact he wasn’t supposed to even go for the karaoke but surprisingly what made him change his mind, one will never know how his weird mind thinks. So off he went to Red Box in The Curve to sing or rather shout his heart out on many kind of songs.

He was amazed though of the expressions he sees on other people during that day. Not only was Daniel flabbergasted, he was shocked to see more expressions that are deemed very special moments of enthusiasm of going into the flow of the music. Well, with that mood in sight, what more but to join in the fun.

It was indeed an enjoyable daytime karaoke outing. What he was amused of was actually the passion. Of course, when you have a group of potential Singing Idols out there, you’re bound to have nice songs sung in rythm. No matter how, Daniel think the most is still the expressions on some of the notable ones.

Talking about expressions and expressions all over again. What expressions did they actually do to impress Daniel that he should actually blog about this outing. Wait till you actually see what it was.

Now who can beat those priceless expressions. Well, all natural all fun and happy going. Daniel didn’t believe that in this crazy world, where hunger and crime is at it’s peak, there are still fun and joyful moment for them.

Of course, notable this was also the time, that Daniel first showcased his SB800 Flash Gun to the people around there. Learning but surely, at least no more super bright face because of the flash.

Unmistakeably, the fun doesn’t end here. There is a continuation to this fun and weird day. What else is in store?

ps : I know at times I am quiet, very introvert, but it’s actually been so long since it has been this way. Weirdness has overwhelmed.

A few weeks back, there was a simple gathering, a gathering which was to welcome the arrival of both Sae Wei and Wendy to Kuala Lumpur be it for their permanent stay or just for an internship stay. So a simple gathering was done in the host house, Daphne.

It feels kind of like we’ve known each other for at least a year plus and a lot of things have happened. It’s really an amazing life at least I don’t waste my life sitting in front of the PC all the time and not getting to know people. Life is amazing am I right? Where you get to mingle around with people and do all those interesting and crazy things.

Well, when I say crazy it can also mean a simple pole dance *ahaha like what I do with the coconut tree* or just a simple pillar. Well, sometimes these skills get transferred to your friends and you have a whole new dancing fever on.

Of course, being with these people let’s us play around with our creativity. Darn, I know the photos are not as nice due to the direct flash… ehhh.. off track.

But heck, how can a group of us just meet up. Those days in IRC and ICQ, it was considered a dangerous thing to go meet up with your online friends. Nowadays it gets too common that friendship really starts online with almost every household children on the internet. Though I missed those congkak, tingting gajah and layang-layang days.

I guessed it’s all part of the gang being together. Don’t we all just love making friends.
