Size Does Matter

Posted by Daniel Chew On October - 2 - 2008

How can we believe size doesn’t matter? Well, sometimes it does matters? Well, when only will it matter, that also have to see in what context we’re talking about.

If you’re talking about the brain, size really doesn’t matter. You might have a big brain, but to the extent of how much memory one keeps, now that’s a different matter altogether. Though if you’re talking about physical size, it really can matter. Just imagine, Yao Ming, the China basketball player, Houston Rocket player as of print, standing side by side with you.

WTF Yao Ming

Okay, maybe not standing side by side, but imagine… he’s big in size, imagine he’s 2.26m while I am only like 1.7x++ meter. This makes me feels short. Well, I guess that’s the way it is then.

I think I was stupid enough to think I could excel well in basketball to represent the country, the state and all when I was young. I should have just stick to badminton or other sports. For basketball, size does matters. People don’t care whether you can shoot or not, as long you cannot be part of the defense, how are you gonna assimilate.

Hmm.. kinda weird, ranting about basketball. I believe instead of complaining about the height, I should complain about the width. Size does matters in that case too. Now let’s say how shall I compare…

Caterpillar attack~~~~~ arghhh, I wished I was bigger. Don’t you wish you were bigger?

ps : If you’re thinking of bigger in other context, it may also apply.

Gathering in Daphne’s House

Posted by Daniel Chew On September - 30 - 2008

A few weeks back, there was a simple gathering, a gathering which was to welcome the arrival of both Sae Wei and Wendy to Kuala Lumpur be it for their permanent stay or just for an internship stay. So a simple gathering was done in the host house, Daphne.

It feels kind of like we’ve known each other for at least a year plus and a lot of things have happened. It’s really an amazing life at least I don’t waste my life sitting in front of the PC all the time and not getting to know people. Life is amazing am I right? Where you get to mingle around with people and do all those interesting and crazy things.

Pole Pose

Well, when I say crazy it can also mean a simple pole dance *ahaha like what I do with the coconut tree* or just a simple pillar. Well, sometimes these skills get transferred to your friends and you have a whole new dancing fever on.

Of course, being with these people let’s us play around with our creativity. Darn, I know the photos are not as nice due to the direct flash… ehhh.. off track.

But heck, how can a group of us just meet up. Those days in IRC and ICQ, it was considered a dangerous thing to go meet up with your online friends. Nowadays it gets too common that friendship really starts online with almost every household children on the internet. Though I missed those congkak, tingting gajah and layang-layang days.

Camwhore In the House

I guessed it’s all part of the gang being together. :) Don’t we all just love making friends.

View The Sunset Bridge

Posted by Daniel Chew On September - 27 - 2008

Like the title suggest, the backdrop for the bridge was nice, too bad my photoshots are still not that excellent. By the way too this photo of Putrajaya bridge with the sunset backdrop. Yes, I was actually there to attend the Fireworks competition and reached there earlier, so we had some photo shooting.

Putrajaya View Sunset

Well, I will say it’s a bit too shallow the colors. Also the setting of the color is too low and not bright enough. Well, that’s what you get for unprepared shots. Though the view was like once in a lifetime for me, as I don’t really go there for fun.

I am sure lots of you people have breathtaking views. Maybe a different perception of view. Since I am a frequent traveler, I thought of posting up the same photo for my banner but wouldn’t want to bore you people too with the same photo once again.

Joined Photo Hunter since August 26th 2007. It’s been more than a year.

Recent Nuffnang Mamma Mia

Posted by Daniel Chew On September - 23 - 2008

I am back from the Nuffnang Event of Mamma Mia. I must say I am impressed with the storyline of the movie premiere though I would say not many people around my age would enjoy with a reason. Why??

Amanda Seyfried mamma Mia Poster

First you’ll be looking at old actresses in sexy dresses with a mid riff top dancing and singing. Then also you’ll be seeing how young like the older actor and actresses tries to be. All this turn off the young guys. Yes, I also noted that there are many reasons why some people can’t stand it. Some of them in tinkitalks blog.
