Runway 101 HELP University College
June 13, 2009 | Category: Event | 9 Comments
It happened just a week ago, when I was one of the official photographers for Project Runway 101 which is to be held at HELP University College. It really does give me a whole new meaning as to what photography can bring you.
Being involved with Aaron to photographed this event, I practically have to managed between switching lens and taking different ways of taking shots (I am confused with my sentence now). I must say getting to the event really did gave me an adventure too, having to walk all the way to the Institute only to find I left my battery in the car, and I walked back nearly 10 minutes to retrieved it. Okay enough of the blabber let’s talk about the Runway.

To think of it, this project is organised by a student in HELP University College itself. Now what a way to start you own runway. The person mentioned is none other than Mr Dennis Khor. Doesn’t the name ring a bell somewhere? Yup, the very same person you see at the Malaysian Dream Girls event.

Nice expression there Dennis, one more time eh?
Though an event like Runway 101 would not be a success without a person standing at the emcee. Well, almost all events would not go on without an emcee and we all have to thank this pretty emcee here.

Well, I ain’t going to mentioned more, but if you’re wondering where are the contestants, well, setting aside, this will be more of what happens in the early stages and the crew members. I find at times we should give credits to the organisers and crew members. Well, isn’t that weird? Well, what can be said, coming from a blogger of Weird Weird Denial.

Kundasang War Memorial and Poring Hot Springs
June 5, 2009 | Category: Sabah | 9 Comments
There are many places that one can be while on the way to the peak. Well, since we’re on the way to the peak. The places that one can visit is the Kundasang War Memorial Park and the Poring Hot Springs. Well, it’s not that I haven’t been there before but it looks like this the last time I went. Though previously I wasn’t as good a photographer as now. Well, here’s a photo I took last year.

Now imagine this. This was taken last year. Now how about this year?
Well, we started by of course, going thru the entrance.

Well, not as beautiful, but nevertheless since this is a memorial park, things should be as simple. Also they charge us RM2 per entry (Malaysians only price). Well, understandably it’s needed so they can continue maintaining the place.

The Day I First Met Her
May 30, 2009 | Category: Personal | 26 Comments
Today is the 30th Of May 2009. I am just a guy who had been doing lots of browsing, going through the internet world, and 2 years ago, I had been joining this online chatbox community called ShoutOut. Well, to think why did I add this in the first place was due to the lively community then and I really should thank Lasker and Elise for that.
In the year 2007, time goes by as everyone gets to know each another. Then on that day doing my daily rounds, on the year 2008 dated 30th May, it was the day that I first got to know someone who will mean something special to me till this day.
For those have my facebook would roughly know who I am talking about.

Well, none other than Chia Yen or in the ShoutOut world as prettypink. I must say it was a pleasure knowing her, on the 30th May 2008 and if I wasn’t around on that day and if she didn’t add ShoutOut, I guessed there won’t be any chance of meeting up. So this post is dedicated to her to mark this memorable day.
To think that we both had a smooth way to come to where we are, it’s not what it seems. We go through thick and thin to be where we are, at times it’s just like a fairytale story, knowing that it’s fate that brought us together to where we are.
Sometimes it really is magical, knowing that I don’t do certain things and then I do them. For an example this Youtube video of a Birthday Song.

Kota Kinabalu Exploration Day
May 25, 2009 | Category: Sabah | 5 Comments
It was finally the second day of our trip in Kota Kinabalu where I will meet the rest of the group. Weird thing though is that this is the event before the island trip to Pulau Manukan. The weather wasn’t fine thus I took limited shots.
Here are the past episodes in case you dropped here via search engines.
Part 1 - Flight To Kota Kinabalu Sabah
Part 2 - Pulau Manukan Special
So walking on at Kota Kinabalu town, we stopped at what we called the KK Street Market. Hmmm lot of things to see, though none I would buy. I am impressed though with some of the collections.

This feels just like Petaling Street in Kuala Lumpur where there are tonnes and tonnes of souvenirs and handicrafts. Of course one thing that amazes me is a Top or a “Gasing” locally made. How does it look like though?

Now who would have thought of playing a “gasing”/top using this method. The funny thing though, this top produces sound because they punctured a hole in the center. The peddler was demonstrating the way to play the Top over and over again. Well, I was fascinated and my first time seeing this type of design.

Now then after what seemed fascinating, then the group of us had our breakfast which is seafood noodle that was supposingly famous there called New Man Tai. Of course the way it was arranged is a LITTLE BIT WEIRD. Then after that you will now know that we gone to the island hop which was the previous post in Pulau Manukan.
After the island trip, we came back to the Jetty and yes walked the way back to the condominium. On the way saw a few native fishing boats.

What a wonderful sight living just beside the sea. Well, you can hardly see these kind of atmosphere in the coming future, so why not cherished it by taking some photos so that when the future comes, people can see what a sight the past holds. After like minutes of walking, finally reached the desired destination. The Marina Court Condominum.
