Daylight Port Dickson

Posted by Daniel Chew On August - 3 - 2008

As night time has past, Daniel awoke to find his eyes was blinded by the light, the rays of Sun light brandishing themselves on the faces of the 4 dwellers of Port Dickson. (I is PHAILED…)

Back to reality, can you imagine, 4 of us didn’t get our sleep and by the time we know, it was already daylight. Port Dickson is having it’s high tide now. With high tide, comes strong wave sounds and wind. With wave sounds, it feels so relaxing.

Waves At Port Dickson

Colors though in Port Dickson especially the beach is not as appeasing as the beach in Redang Island though. Well, they are both on a different class of their own. One’s on the east side of Peninsular Malaysia, another one’s on the right. So definitely what one can expect too. But wait, what if I wanted to make it pleasing to the eyes of visitors and future visitors of Port Dickson, just look below.

Blue Waves

Woootss… So blue, so serene, so nice the waters in Port Dickson. Haha.. the power of Photo Imaging Software. Need help in beautifying your photos :P

Pigeon At The Beach

You’ll never expect to see PIGEONS though in Port Dickson, ravaging for food on the sandy beach at 11th Mile Beach. Hmmm… a bird on the beach. Interesting, wait till you see the next photo.

Jane Poses

Ahemz….. Ahemz…. who is that?? someone caught looking at the horizon and the waves.

Waves Against Rocks

Nature is really amazing. The waves, the rocks, the splashes they make. It was clearly a sound so smooth, so relaxing. Well, until someone could really sleep there. Well, someone did took a nap during the waves and splashes and stuffs.

Now look what he did?

Sleeping Peacefully

Imagine that… The Sleeping David on The Sandy Beach of Port Dickson.

Adios… *poof*

ps : Thank you all who wished me on this my auspicious day. Yes, Thank you very much….
pss : no no… I am not getting married.. It’s just a birthday!!

Night in Port Dickson

Posted by Daniel Chew On July - 30 - 2008

It was a night to remember. Well, a night without hotels, a night where 4 different people from different background got together to have a fun trip out of the blue. Well, the 4 different people though it was fun to be in Port Dickson singing songs at night reliving the beach mood. Well, you better believe it.

Singing Songs During The Night

The beach we were is at Port Dickson Bayu Beach Resort. Softest sand you can find over there. I still remembered it was over a year since there was a trip to Port Dickson. Well, if you have the props, why not enjoy it. You’d think that the guitar is only used for playing music. Well, you can start imagining other things now.

Kung Fu Guitar

Of course there are other photos but who knows AaronWoolala might put it up instead. The Kung Fu Guitar Technique was lost for a few years and looks like it was handed down to two Kung Fu practitioners. You never knew a guitar was that useful ehh…

So who are these 4 people? Well, instead of talking more and going on and on… here they are.

What’s the point of going to Port Dickson at night if it weren’t for Barbeque or maybe enjoying the waves and breeze. Actually the wonders of going to Port Dickson at night are the night life you get to see where during the day it’s never too easy to notice. Oh yeah… yes, the breeze at night was as though like a hurricane is coming along. I was amazed at how strong the winds were.

Walking Crab

Crab… What crab is this? Flower Crab hor? This crab was as big as my fist, okay.. maybe it’s smaller a little bit, but then it’s rare to see a crab upclose unless one checks the fishing nets and all that. Well, you need to go to 11th Mile to get a look at those critters. Also lalas (clams) can be found at Blue Lagoon beach. Didn’t know that right :P

3 salt water fishes

The tiny salt water fishes are also around and near the shore during the night. There are other species of bigger crabs during that night, but I wasn’t fast enough to capture it. Imagine people just going to the beach relaxing without knowing they can see lots of things during the night.

Who ask me to be adventurous? I think it’s a part of me. Dang… oh yeah, sorry though, it’s been a while too since I last blogged :D

Visit To Kuala Terengganu

Posted by Daniel Chew On July - 3 - 2008

Welcome To Kuala Terengganu, that’s what the signboard says. Well, actually one would have figured that Terengganu would have been kinda old town but there is a China Town in Kuala Terengganu. I was amazed actually and this signboard was actually what greeted us to the China Town part of Kuala Terengganu.

Oh yeah, fast forward first to Kuala Terengganu post, the shots taken below were all post-Redang island photos as we’ve already left the island. Don’t worry there’ll be more shots of Redang Island when I get my last remaining photos.

Welcome To Kuala Terengganu

So welcome to China Town… and just look around and have a look at the buildings there. Awesome building designs that I thought I could only see it in Melaka of the Baba Nyonya prestige.

ChinaTown Terengganu

Those black stuffs on the sky are swallow birds. It seems one of the houses there housed a few of them swallow birds to harvest their nest for Bird’s Nest Soup. You should have seen, there were speakers everywhere around that area that protrude the sound of Swallow Birds just to attract them there. Good idea.

Beautiful Redang Sceneries

Posted by Daniel Chew On June - 28 - 2008

Not enough of Redang, the first part of the Redang crashing was more of the people that are in the trip. Well, it was at first hard to organize a trip such as this, but then looks like I enjoyed doing it. LOL…

If you missed the first part, here it is….
Redang Kalong Got Crashed

Well, I guessed enough of people in the photos, I want to see the sceneries and the sea there. What a better way to showcase it then to have it feature on this blog eh… Well, a lot of other photography I should also research. I am still not as good a photographer like those with high tech kits, but with a D40, I think that’ll do.

Redang Reef Resort from Laguna Beach

While walking on the Long Beach on course with the Laguna Redang Beach, here’s a scenery shot of the Redang Reef resort along the rocky ground with the sea overlooking it. Though it’s been like 4 years since I stayed in Laguna.

But what about Marine Park, the very famous natural reserve now being taken care by the marine park personnels. They really do keep check all their corals there too.

Redang Marine Park

Though the amount of people there made me lost interest in snorkeling. But if you haven’t yet snorkel yet, do give it a try, the corals there are breathtaking. Those still clueless, Redang Island is situated on the East of Peninsular Malaysia around the lands of Terengganu.

Redang Kalong Got Crashed

Posted by Daniel Chew On June - 27 - 2008

Would you believe it’s now already one week after the first day of Redang Island trip with fellow and friends and ShoutOuters. It was that long, it really is. Here am I sitting and pondering, what a wonderful time most of us had. Well, it was fun while it lasted, though I think I lost my cap to the bus, my shades to the sand, and my memories of the dive trip in my dive log book. Yes, REDANG ISLAND was fun.

Snorkelers Embark Boats

The ones that went on this trip were ……

Guys : Aaron, Hugo, David, William, Satkuru, Lasker & Me
Girls : Wendy, Lee May, Lisa, Angeline & Elise

By the time we arrived, the sea was so blue from the reflections of the sky that such peacefulness could be felt within. Well, just looking at the above picture would tell you how clear the sea was. Yes, stayed in Redang Kalong, the same place I used to stay for the past 2 years. Seriously a good place for divers to visit.
