Goji Juice High in Vitamins

Posted by danielctw On September - 29 - 2007

Heard of Goji Juice? We all know all about blueberry, strawberry but what is Goji Juice??

Goji Juice

So finding all about Goji Juice, I dropped by gojicapital.com! Wah!! Looks like goji juice is a type of berry. It was said that the Chinese have known about the Goji Berry and its benefits for thousands of years. Looks like it was only made known to the public after 2003. Look at the year now, it’s 2007. I am surprised to even find out that there is such thing as Goji Berry and it’s Goji Berry Juice.

It seems after further research it seems that Goji Berries have lots of nutrients, even more Vitamin C than oranges. Now that’s a wonder! No wonder it’s totally unheard of in this part of the world. It usually grows in the remote regions of Tibet, China and Mongolia.

Just my luck, I should get more Vitamin C. Maybe this Goji Juice might help me. Seriously if something that has more Vitamin C than Orange, I think it’s worth it.

Free Piano Lessons

Posted by danielctw On September - 17 - 2007

I miss my piano classes days. I gave up those times due to the need to travel.

Suddenly, if only I had taken up those lessons and not quit after 2 weeks. Well, luckily for the internet, I found a blog. Yes, I can learn piano once again. Now I can learn all the piano chords at this Piano Chords Blog which is kind of cool. Online learning!!

Browsing thru, I realised this blog actually helps music teachers and students as an additional help. I was amazed, someone at age 94 can play the piano well enough than me.

I guessed it’s time for me to learn the piano once again. This blog writer for Piano Chords Blog really helped me to start learning piano once again. Thanks a lot. I better subscribe to their rss first. Then later I can challenge Aaron on the piano playing part. Hee..

Posted by danielctw On August - 29 - 2007

It’s time to talk about food.. whee~~~ dunno la. I seemed to be hungry these few days. Hungry that I sometimes look at food photos. Then I realised OMG, I forgot about this post! Yes, I went to a place called D’Fortune. O_o what’s that?

d'fortune menu

Look the menu cover looks so nice. Well, it’s a western dish, what do you expect? Ho ho ho… But look what did I order? I ordered Seafood Carbonara. Seafood Spaghetti….. whee~~~~ well, at least there are lots of seafood, of course there isn’t any oysters, crabs, jellyfish but those normal seafood stuffs.

seafood carbonara

Must be wondering what kind of a place is this? Here’s some eye catching scenery of the inside of that place. Well you have the option of eating outside along with the dust or you can go in and sit in the air conditioned hall which basically both are the same charges. I just don’t get Malaysians why do they like to sit outside everywhere, even in starbucks, coffee bean. Weird right?? Well, but about mamak centers, then it’s acceptable cause some don’t wanna the cooked food smell on them.

So think of going to this place? Where is it? I won’t torture you no more. Here’s the address.

83 Jalan Radin Tengah Bandar Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur
Opening Hours: Daily 11.30am – 11.30pm (Mon-Fri), 11.30am – 12am (Sat-Sun)
Phone: 03-90587851

My verdict : Price is affordable. Environment and the waiter/waitresses are courteous. I give a thumbs up.

Driveway File Sharing

Posted by danielctw On August - 24 - 2007

Yesterday someone just asked me how to upload a file so that a client can download it. It was complicated telling that someone that one can just directly put on a hosted server and telling the client to direct copy the link from it.

Then, Driveway came along. Driveway of http://www.driveway.com is a new free web based service for online file sharing. Man… if only I found this solution earlier, I would not like that so much trouble to tell this and that. One thing bad for those not with an IT background is that when doing the manual upload and download, there’s hardly any graphical and easy click application for them to drag and drop.

But with Driveway it comes from the fact that one can use ‘edit widgets’ for shares that can be used to edit the shared documents directly with a single click from desktop instead of having to edit, save and email it back. The edit share links are even multi-user capable!

Still don’t get it? It means one can just directly accessed it via desktop instead of downloading from driveway then reuploading it again. Now that’s such a powerhorse, easier job to be done. Now what about big files. Movie files?

Unlike email system such as gmail which limits your file sizes (typically 10-20MB etc..) you can use as attachments; you can overcome that limit by using driveway’s ‘Parkit’ links for files up to 500MB in size! You can also post the ‘Parkit’ links in blogs. Now this is one way awesome feature. I can put up to 500mb. That’s HALF a GIGABYTE of files.

Things just gets ever better in online storage and file sharing. Nice…. so now I can share to you people my collections. Wheee~~~

Online Storage Backup

Posted by danielctw On August - 3 - 2007

Dang!!! All my files are corrupted! Darn bloody virus! Even my backup hard drive is infected!!!

Don’t you just hate it when these things happened? Your work files are corrupted and ultimately gone along with your personal stuffs. Lucky now that there’s a wonderful tool online called IBackup. IBackup (http://www.ibackup.com) offers online storage and backup.

Another great feature of IBackup’s online storage is where users online data can appear on their own computer as a mapped drive. This gives user better functionality with drag-n-drop and normal explorer interface to work with online data. Now this is one great feature that no other online storage services offer so far. Read more about this at (http://www.ibackup.com/online-storage-features/)

But how about speed wise, does it make my personal computer lag if I run it from the mapped drive? As claimed by IBackup, performance difference is very significant in many cases, where IBackup’s desktop applications outperform the rest by a factor of at least 30-50%. This could mean significant productivity gain.

Finally, an online backup. What more can one ask for to have your stuffs backup online!!!
