La Rasita Dinner Review

Posted by Daniel Chew On November - 15 - 2007

Now I am starting to feel hungry. But wait, when I am hungry, I want people to feel how hungry I am too. So because of this, I am gonna post a food entry now. It’s been ages since I posted one. Well, not that I don’t want to, but is just that I am lazy. So all my food pictures are coming back to me. Wheee~~~

So where did I go this time?

La Rasita
26 Pesiaran Ampang
55000 Kuala Lumpur
tel. : 03-42526269
fax. : 03-42579503

Yes, it’s an Italian restaurant. Though the food is nice, and the portion is big. Big I tell you, I nearly couldn’t finish my spaghetti. So on with the food pics.

tiramisu

Parted Tiramisu. The thing about this is that there are many nice food to eat, but somehow a friend of mine wanted to eat the dessert first. So here’s the Tiramisu. Was cut in four. Though this was how it look before.

tiramisu1

Tiramisu. Pardon the quality, but I didn’t bring my camera that day. :P So what other stuffs you have there?

pizzacurrypuff

Pizza Puff. It was that big okay!!

foilspaghetti

Spaghetti Wrapped in Foil. It’s big also.

seafoodspaghetti

Seafood Spaghetti. Been eating this alot last time and the most expensive of all the spaghetti dish. But guess what I ate? Well, I wanted to be different this time, while some might not like the taste of it.

squidsaucespaghetti

Seafood Spaghetti in Squid Sauce. Ewwww??? No… It’s unique and to me it taste good. I mean you can still taste the squid smell. I am weird eh.. Well, what about my drink? Shouldn’t a weird dish be served with a weird drink?

So I called a Belgian Coffee. Well, someone called Irish Coffee already, so what the heck!

belgiancoffee

Not your everyday Coffee. This one is mixed with LIQUOR. Yes, alcohol. Well, though I finished mine while the rest who ordered Liquor Coffee couldn’t drink theirs’ finish. I even ate one of the coffee bean. Well noticed the two black thing on top, those are coffee beans.

Rating :

Overall I would rate this place a nice place to eat Italian food. Nice presentation and the staffs are friendly too. Food overall taste good and in big helping. If you’re looking for something below RM20, though don’t come here. A rating of 4/5 from me.

Real Brewed Tea (RBT)

Posted by Daniel Chew On October - 18 - 2007

Yes, another drinks and food blog. Though not much to talk about food. But due to it’s name, it’s where one can hang out for a drinking tea session!

Location

Lot 6F-16, 6th Floor, Sungei Wang Plaza, Jalan Sultan Ismail, Kuala Lumpur
Opening Hours: 10am-midnight (daily).
Phone: 03-2141 9020

I’ve been to this place RBT for like a few countless times that I think it’s time for me to at least put a small note about it.

Drinks Galore

Of course it was a time to galore with your drinks and stuffs. Yes, they have many varieties of drinks which I had a problem choosing. Of course one glass can cost up to RM8 though. Surprisingly no one ordered bubble tea. But then it was time to feast on the food. Well, nowadays I am very fond of fish and chips due to having satisfied with the fish and chips in Perth, thus what else. Fish and chips on the menu.

Fish and Chips

It looks appetizing eh? But then the wonders of photography even on the advertisements. Too bad they’re using fries as the chips. I wished for chips :( . But knowingly this is Malaysia, helpings are usually smaller and definitely not as big as the ones I had in Perth. Looks like if I wanted to eat fish and chips, I need to either go Manhattan Fish Market or TGIF or Chillies. Hmmm… compare the plate and the fish fillet. Awesome!!

Perth Fish and Chips

This is amazing. The size of the Fish!! I was full before I can even eat the chips.

Siu Long Bao Dragon-I

Posted by Daniel Chew On October - 11 - 2007

It’s been awhile since I’ve gone like on a feast or makan time. Well, not really a feast but went for food hunting. Yes, this time I decided I should at least go for some “dim sum”. Yes, so where to go? Dragon-I at Leisure Mall, Cheras. Actually initial plan was supposed to be at Sushi King, but due to the long queue, so changed to Dragon-I.

Dim Sum

So not armed with my camera, but with only my phone and the 1.3MP camera that includes with it, the quality of the photos might not be nice. But then it’s still mouth watering. Going in a group of like 6 of us, it’s time to feast.

Ya, I know sometimes looking at food at the wrong time, when you haven’t eat your lunch or dinner makes one going bonkers. Well, fear not, the pictures aren’t too appetizing yet.. hehe.. I really should start bringing my camera everywhere I go next time.

Underwear Dim Sum

Yes, Karipap or Underwear Dim Sum. Fresh from the Stove, still a little bit wet. Haha.. means there is soup in it ok.. Don’t think dirty. Well, in this restaurant there are definitely so many other things to eat ranges from Noodles and Rice, but why the heck would I eat others other than Dim Sum which was the sole priority coming to Dragon-I.

But the highest and mainest top priority eating here was actually the famous Siu Long Bao!

Siu Long Bao

Yes, just look at it, there is still soup in the paste. Just a bite of it, and water start squirting out. I wonder how they can make the paste stick together. The previous places that I ate with Siu Long Bao, it usually burst thus no more soup in it. Well, we had a feast on this and liked it very much, we ordered like 2 more baskets of it.

Of course, desserts are well, just normal appetizers.

Dessert

Yes, sad to say, I did wanted to try something else for dessert and went for Mix Fruit (Tropical) Sago, though it wasn’t anything spectacular. Anyway this is a non-halal restaurant.

Anyway I would only recommend the Siu Long Bao very highly in this Restaurant. It’s been awhile since I had a food review. Well, now you have it.

eat at D’Fortune

Posted by Daniel Chew On August - 29 - 2007

It’s time to talk about food.. whee~~~ dunno la. I seemed to be hungry these few days. Hungry that I sometimes look at food photos. Then I realised OMG, I forgot about this post! Yes, I went to a place called D’Fortune. O_o what’s that?

d'fortune menu

Look the menu cover looks so nice. Well, it’s a western dish, what do you expect? Ho ho ho… But look what did I order? I ordered Seafood Carbonara. Seafood Spaghetti….. whee~~~~ well, at least there are lots of seafood, of course there isn’t any oysters, crabs, jellyfish but those normal seafood stuffs.

seafood carbonara

Must be wondering what kind of a place is this? Here’s some eye catching scenery of the inside of that place. Well you have the option of eating outside along with the dust or you can go in and sit in the air conditioned hall which basically both are the same charges. I just don’t get Malaysians why do they like to sit outside everywhere, even in starbucks, coffee bean. Weird right?? Well, but about mamak centers, then it’s acceptable cause some don’t wanna the cooked food smell on them.

So think of going to this place? Where is it? I won’t torture you no more. Here’s the address.

83 Jalan Radin Tengah Bandar Sri Petaling, Kuala Lumpur
Opening Hours: Daily 11.30am – 11.30pm (Mon-Fri), 11.30am – 12am (Sat-Sun)
Phone: 03-90587851

My verdict : Price is affordable. Environment and the waiter/waitresses are courteous. I give a thumbs up.
