Any type of travel or vacation requires some degree of work. Anytime you plan on taking any length of trip, there has to be some sort of preparation. Whether it be to research where to go, or to find out more about a place you have already chosen. Plans will need to be made, accommodations will need to be taken care of and of course, you will have to pack.
What to bring on a trip all depends on where you are going and what you plan on doing once you get there. For instance, if your travels take you to some tropical island paradise, you better make sure you packed a bathing suit. If your travels are going to take you to a cold climate, you will want to be sure to have enough clothing to keep you warm. A little bit of planning in the beginning will end up helping a great deal in the end.
Another good idea to do before you arrive at your destination is to find some things to do. You don’t want to be caught sitting in your hotel room a majority of the time because you didn’t take the time to find out what the happenings were. This is especially true when traveling in a group. It is important to find things to occupy the masses, in order to have a nice time.
When in the Chicago area, I always rely on the internet to find the best information. I can do a quick search while at home and find things to do and places to visit in the area I plan on staying. The website I visit most often is, Expedia. The quick link to the happenings in the Chicago area is, http://thingstodo.expedia.com/chicago-illinois-activities/. This site has been a life saver for me when I have been the one in charge of the entertainment.
