Wacoal 62 – Come Fly With Me Le Meridien KL

Posted by danielctw On December - 23 - 2010

On the Friday, 10th December 2010, Wacoal had a special event. It is called Wacoal 62 – Come Fly With Me. Well, since it’s a Wacoal I bet that most people would know what kind of event. I got in touch with the representative from Wacoal as I was invited to this event and here they present to me an invitation card. First of all I would love to thank Jerad for extending the invitation to me.

Wacoal Special Invite

Looking at the invitation, the only thing I required to do was to dress in a formal suit. Since it’s going to be an elegant cocktail function and the theme was Masquerade Night. After arriving in Le Meridien hotel located near KL Sentral, I proceeded taking photos of the runway that’s going to be fashion show for the guests. Yes, best time to take the location of the runway is way before everyone starts going into the hotel.

Wacoal Le Meridien Runway

As can be seen, the runway and the seating are limited thus I have to make full use of my time here. Before all things started, it’s best to go around snapping pictures of the area and also of course, the food.

Wacoal dessert

Ice cream? Or something that looks like ice cream but it’s actually wafer.

Wacoal Chocolate Dessert

Seeing the decorations on the food also makes me hungry.

Food Display

So I can’t stand it. I just have to take a whole picture of food galore. I am after all a person who loves food.

HEY!!! What about the fashion show? Why still dragging this thing on and on. Just hold your horses, we’ll come right back to that in a short while. Let me tell you something, I would be doing 2 posts for this, so I am sure you people guys especially out there would be able to get more to see from this event. What’s so special about it?

I think this post will be the most BRASSERIE photos ever.

Wacoal Green Floral Bra

GREEN PASTEL COLOR FLORAL BRA

A Green or Cyan Floral Pattern Bra on Display inside a clear box. Surprisingly it looks like a bikini. Based on the photo, I can feel that it has underwire.

Wacoal Cute Pink Bra

CUTE PINK RIBBON BRA

Seriously this one caught my eye. No no no.. not because of it’s color but the simplicity of the design. The ribbon there makes it stunning and the floral patters are simple.

Wacoal Bra Bust Measurements

By the way, I am still clueless on what this means on the label around the bra strap. I would guessed that the 75 means the measurement of the bust and the ‘C‘ is for the cup size. Someone who knows this, can they lend me a helping hand.

Hey… what the heck am I giving my opinions on bra. The girls should know better right? Please ignore me. So let’s go on to our main event. “Finally huh“. Yes, presenting to you the beautiful emcee for the night.

Wacoal Event Beautiful Emcee

Parfage, Moi Cree neo, Sorci and Sensuala would be the highlight of the night. Well, the emcee, Stephanie Chai was a stunning figure for that night too. Of course there was a welcome address by the Executive Director too to address the guest that night. Finally the ever beautiful voluptuous Stephanie Chai initiated the start of the show. While everyone was anticipating the start of the fashion show, something else was planned.

Violin Show

The violin greeting party was here. The music was impressive and got me entertained for the whole duration.

After what seemed to be quite awhile, the lights grew dim and finally what all the guest has been waiting for is going to start. For this you have to see my next post………………..

Of course NOT! Let’s get on with this. For the first show of underwear is from Wacoal Parfage.

Wacoal Parfage Model 1

Spotty Type Panties and Bra and Garter Belt and Leggings

wacoal parfage model 2

Bright Red Panties and Bra with Red Garter Belt and Leggings.

Wacoal Parfage Model 3

Yellow Mellow Panties and Bra

Wacoal Parfage Model 4

Green Pastel Brasserie

Somehow this is the only Asian model on the stage I guess. Doubt anyone of them is Malaysian as knowingly Malaysian models hardly model for lingerie (rather they expect higher pay when they do so. Just a speculation okay!! )

Wacoal Parfage Model 5

Simple Pink Flowery Brasserie and matching Pink Panties

Wacoal Parfage Model 6

Black Brasserie and Matching Black Panties

Amazing isn’t it? Lingerie turns into fashion these days. Ever wondered whatever happened to those yester years during our father’s time where underwear or lingerie should be worn inside and not for display. Of course, I am sure most of you still wear them inside. The only one I can think of who wears them outside is Super Girl? Hahahaha!! LAME. Well, but why the design?

First and foremost, after many insights and questioning and pondering and net searching (Ahemzzz..), clothes or anything one puts on defines a person. When someone dresses herself/himself to look good, it sometimes make them brew with confidence. Wacoal is doing that and is suitable for all type of sizes as can be seen from the photos above.

So, is that it?

Nope, you have just only seen the collection from Wacoal Parfage. Have you forgotten about the rest of them? There are still Moi Cree neo, Sorci and Sensuala left. I am sure most of you haven’t.

As time is getting short, I will portray the next post with an array of photos of the girls in lingerie. Well, I am sure Wacoal would love to promote all their lingerie and I am doing them a favor and also doing my viewers a favor.

Is this the end? Of course not. Do check back sometime tomorrow or a few days later.

A Holiday Villa Subang Pre-New Year Dinner Treat

Posted by danielctw On December - 21 - 2010

Just a week back (Ahhh… yes… the memories of the food) I was invited to had a preview and taste and a special treat from Holiday Villa Hotel & Suites located in Subang, Malaysia. Why? How?? I didn’t know until I found out that whoa…..

Holiday Villa Facebook Page

This was mentioned on their Facebook page. It says I won a treat by Holiday Villa Hotels & Resorts and is in for a night of great food, good company & simple fun. Here is the close up of the photo. Well, I am sure there are more to come from Holiday Villa on their Facebook page. Of course this food preview was actually a preview of what’s to be offered on the 31st December 2010.

Lucky Winners

So it was Merryn Tan, Kian Fai and THE WEIRD ONE (ME) who will be dining there and dined did we. Now enough of the talk. Let’s get on with the show, errr… I meant food.

Holiday Villa Subang

Opps.. this ain’t food. Well, just showing the surroundings around there. Since it’s dinner time, there are lights all around.

So now we have our first food for the night…. TA DAH….

Ice Decoration

Hey, this is no food. This is merely a decoration with oranges. Not just any mere decoration. It’s made of ICE. Yes, ice that’s slowly melting due to the light shining towards it. Such excellent masterpiece.

Finally I couldn’t take it anymore and I went to have my food after the opening speech by the organizer in charge. The first thing that brought my eyes to was the pastry area. Well, since it’s a poolside dinner and the most visible ones are beside the poolside and beside where I was sitting.

Bread Galore Holiday Villa

Bread comes in every shape and sizes. Strange enough, I did something else instead of eating it there and then. This was what I did.

Bread Spiral

Huh? What is this shot? Before this photo, look at the right side. You’ll noticed where this shot actually came about. Yes, so I can’t resist taking weird photos.

Now being a person to start with desserts it’s kind of different. Well, one good thing is that while everyone is queuing up to get the main dish, no one will fight for the queue when you start with dessert. So that’s where I was headed.

Cake Pastry

Cakes! Yes, and it’s Chocolate too. A favorite of mine. There are so many pastries and cakes out there, it’s extremely difficult to put everything of them in this post.

Now here are somethings to note. Let’s visit the food by their locality.

ASIAN FOOD

Holiday Villa Asian Cuisine

Yes, local Asian Cuisine. You have chinese style noodles and other Asian food that day. Seeing Asian food though, there are many varieties.

Holiday Villa Indian Food

One of them is an Indian Food variety. If you’re a fan of mamak food and Roti Naan or Tandoori Chicken, you’ll know what this “BIG POT” is. Yes, it’s all natural fire in there and here it is, 2 bread is being cooked on top of it. Authentic food to say the least. Fresh from the open oven.

When one say Asian Food, one cannot forget about JAPANESE FOOD.

Holiday Villa Japanese Food

Yes, that’s Mr Takashi making the Temaki (Hand Rolled). Te means Hand in Japanese. How to write it. 手 (Kanji) or て(Hiragana) for ‘Te‘. Yes, I was surprised. They brought in a Japanese chef to prepare their Japanese food. That’s the quality you can get from here. Now as a fan of Japanese food, you bet that I took most of the food from the Japanese food section. *Evil laughter*

Next up….

WESTERN FOOD (Sort Of)

Holiday Villa Turkey

In lieu and in the spirit of Christmas and also Thanksgiving (a few days back), we had TURKEY. Ahhh… directly served straight from the whole turkey. What can I say about this? Impressed me a lot, the meat was so tender and cooked based on the expectation I had or rather much better than I expected. Definitely had seconds for this. Though had to keep my stomach for some other food tasting.

Holiday Villa Roasted Lamb

I also had Roasted Lamb (BBQ Lamb) and we can see it being prepared directly on top of a fire. Now that’s what I call fresh meat. The person doing the cooking was patient enough with me and even made a few fire to spark off from the fire place to help me take this shot. Verdict : The meat from this was cooked well. I love lamb.

There are other meat that I didn’t get to take photos of like the Beef, Chicken and other cutlery and meat dishes. Those posted are the few notable ones. Of course with so many meat being consumed, I need to have something refreshing and what a good idea then to head on to the dessert table and have a bowl of ice ball (Ice Kacang) with lots of ingredients thrown into it.

Holiday Villa Dessert

Of course, the end result is not that presentable but what’s more important is how tasty it is. Why do I say that? Ice melts, thus I delayed my shot till later and looked what it became.

My Ice Kacang

Still nevertheless, superbly refreshing and cooling and look at the amount of ingredients in it.

Last but not least, let’s have a look at another category.

SEA FOOD

Holiday Villa Seafood Clam

Another favorite of mine, seafood. This time we have clams, prawns, fish, crab and also oyster. Just look at the amount of clams here. Hey wait.. did I say Oysters????? You bet I did.

Holiday Villa Oysters

OYSTERS!!! I still remembered I last had Oysters a year ago and this time I get to eat it again. Though I wished one had a pearl in it so I could actually get RICH something out of it.

Somehow though, I felt that I shouldn’t eat so much if not later I would have problem walking back towards the car (Experienced it before and needed someone to support me yes…. I am a glutton). So this was all I took.

My two Oysters on my Plate

Two Oysters on my plate and that’s all I had. Though now I wished I had more.

Conclusion

Finally after all these food, you must be wondering how much will all this cost actually. Well, a normal buffet dinner would cost about RM70++. Ehh?? RM70++ with Oyster and lots of other varieties. Yes, you read it right.

Of course this whole thing wouldn’t be complete with a photo of the ones who got invited to the dinner. Alas the three of us took a shot and all thanks to Merryn.

Here are their links to this food review.

Manchester United vs Chelsea Viewing Party

Posted by danielctw On December - 16 - 2010

Woots…. this Sunday will be Liverpool vs Manchester United viewing party…. wheee……

Liverpool vs Manchester United Torres

Time to see Torres trashed the Red Devils. Ehhhh.. wait??? Not this Sunday ah? Aiyoyo. Looks like I was wrong. This Saturday is to see how Manchester United loses to Chelsea instead. *evil grins*

My mistake. The true story is that Chelsea vs MU viewing party will be at Padang Timur, Petaling Jaya and I guessed this time I will go in as a Chelsea fan. Yes yes.. I am biased.

Then I can see Drogba starting to score once again in front of the largest TV screen in South East Asia. Of course for those that wants to catch up with the latest Man Utd news before the match day can go to Everyone Connects website. I wonder looks like there will be so many things for Manchester United fans it’ll be great if I was actually a MU fan.

Everyone Connects
Everyone Connects Website is so Cute. Superbly cute.

You are all so lucky to have a place to post your comments and feedback of the game at Everyone Connects website again. They have a Kopitiam section.

So it was a Manchester United vs Chelsea instead.

Drogba vs Giggs

Here’s looking at how Drogba will most likely be in action against Man Utd. Go go go Drogba!!

Of course, there’s something new for you people. On that day there will be a TM booth. If you were to sign up for any of TM products or services (Streamyx, uNifi), you will get exclusive TM Man United merchandise and also FAN ZONE seats.
Another step you can take is to like the Everyone Connects FB page here and then you’ll be able to get a cool EC (Everyone Connects) wristband at the TM Booth. Fuiyoh.. of course I think it’ll be while stock last. So hurry.
MU GGP
Of course then Manchester United fans can now be like this people. Heads on for Rooney. Wahahaha!!
So do remember to go for the viewing party this Sunday to catch up on how will Manchester United fare against Chelsea. Will they do enough to knock Arsenal out of first place?

[Tibet Trip Finale] Memories of Tibet 2009

Posted by danielctw On December - 15 - 2010

Looks like it’s going to reach the end of my Tibet 2009 and this will be the so called last post. Well, who knows there could be a reprise of it in the coming future as I looked upon to travel to Tibet again in the coming future. Below is a 1280 x 850 Snow Mountain photo for you to look at and to download. Some people prefer the black background.

Wallpaper Snow Mountain

So how’s the weather around September 2009? During that time, the leaves are starting to turn yellow and Autumn is approaching. Winter is definitely going to be a super cold time in December.

Autumn Arriving in Tibet

One thing I like about Tibet is the country side. I loathe the shopping complexes compared to the country side where everything is peace and harmony, and there are no busy cars and motorbikes moving around all day to make one feel frustrated over the busy roads of a metropolitan city. *RANTS RANTS*

Sometimes we complaint how unlucky, how nice if we were to stay near the mountainside. But let me show you how does the people there live.

Buildings along Cliffs

The 4 to 5 story buildings were built alongside the cliffs. I mean, what happens if there was a landslide. I dread to know. Kind of a scary place to live in.

By the way, it was really a superb sight when traveling in the morning in the jeep high up in the mountains. The scenery is superb.

The Tibet Hills

Of course, when you travel at night, it’s what we call dangerous instead. Though with the above scenery, it makes me wanna do crazy and weird stuffs like a cartwheel.

Cartwheel Daniel Chew

FAILED though. Shadow was removed to show it’s really the WEIRD ONE.

Now most of you must have been thinking, how did I manage to get along in Tibet with my half past six Mandarin. Besides I don’t even speak Tibetan. It’s all thanks to this person, our handsome Tibetan Tour Guide.

Tour Guide

Fuiyoh…. kinda modern. He speaks quite good English too.

A picture of me with a Tibetan. Why not??

Weird Pose with Tibetan Tour Guide

Though I look weird here. The wind was blowing straight at me and boy do I look thin.

DanielCtw and Tibetan Driver

Here’s the Tibetan Jeep Driver. Now it looks like I am reaching to the end of the post.

In the end, what was the most memorable occasion when I was in Tibet with Ek Wei and Kenny?

There is one I can still remember, the taste, the aroma and none other than the Yak Butter Milk Tea which can be viewed at the mentioned link. Another thing I would miss on this trip is the amount of crazy things I did. Imagine jumping up with a face mask.

Jumping Daniel and Ekwei Facemask

Finally this wraps up my post and looks like the post about my 20+ days journey in Tibet has finally ended. Now what should I blog about? There is Bali and Philippines and Taiwan upcoming too. Looks like more drafts to do and more photos to share.

Jalan Jalan Pulau Pinang

Posted by danielctw On December - 4 - 2010

Walking around (Jalan Jalan) Pulau Pinang (Penang Island), after my Penang Bridge Half Marathon 2010 I had one half of a day to go around the island. Well, particularly it has been almost 2 years since I set food foot here. It’s also like 3 years ago when I first came here in 2007. So what is Pulau Pinang famous for? Of course, it’s the variety of food one could get to eat.

What happened after the run, me and Kyuzo were practically asleep until 2pm and got up to find lunch. Decided to eat at the mee goreng (fried noodle) stall. Well, enough to satisfy the hunger I supposed.

Wah Kiang Seafood Lok Lok

Soon it was night and our host, Ms Su Lynn brought us for food. I decided to opt for Lok Lok (food dipped in hot water) for dinner.

Lok Lok

Fret not, this is only a part of what I had.

Secret: I do eat a lot BUT I also don’t really gain weight. *BISH*

So after that it was a drive to Batu Feringghi in the night and time for some night shopping for *ahem ahem* DVDs. After that about 10pm, decided to head back to Penang town to try the Koay Zhap (pork lard in starchy sauce) which I haven’t had for 2 years. ARGHHHH… didn’t get to. It was close that day. I was wondering did the uncle took a break? Maybe he ran the Penang Bridge Run also.

Soon we just head back to the house and had our fair share of watching DVDs and doze off soon after.

Next morning, it was a working day, Su Lynn needs to go to work, so were dropped off at Original Kayu Mamak Restaurant. Me and Kyuzo ate Nasi Lemak (Scented Coconut Rice) and Tosai (Indian Thin Crusted Flour Bread) and Vadai (Indian Biscuit with chillies) each. Well, that’s what you get for running in a run. Appetite has grown bigger.

Nasi Lemak Original Kayu

Nasi Lemak is still a local delicacy. Though excessively eating this could lead to very high cholesterol level.

On the first day, I still remembered taking photos of how my weird mind perceived them to be. Here are a few shots.

Beware of Dog Signboard

BEWARE OF DOG…. errrr where’s the dog?

Fire Hydrant

Fire Hydrant?? What’s the use if it’s already opened?

Of course let’s come out of my weirdness and look at something else instead.

Red Stumps

Now where is this place? Some people might recognize it though. I am sure the next picture will roughly tell you where I was.

Daniel Chew Beyond Penang

Ahem… still ain’t sure? No kidding.

Snake Sculpture

Ahhhh.. finally, something familiar? Yes, it’s a sculpture of a snake. One of the 12 Chinese Zodiac animals. The most magnificent one. Of course, how about me taking a picture of myself with one of the animals that somehow would finally reveal my age.

DanielCtw with Dog Sculpture

It’s been a hard day’s night, and I am working like a dog. Seems to me that’s what it means.

Fish Pond Bokeh

It’s just so many pictures one can take here. Even a signboard can look better than normal. It’s all about the angle.

Bonsai Plant

Sometimes angle plays an important part when taking a photo. How one position their photos and camera. This is something I would talk about in a new website that I am doing and preparing. Learn more about it there.

If you’re still clueless as to where’s the location. It’s at Ke Lok Si, the temple up on the hill near to Ayer Itam. Speaking of which, there’s a famous food up around Ayer Itam. Wait for it… wait for it….

Ayer Itam Asam Laksa

AYER ITAM ASAM LAKSA

Look at how thick the gravy is. Yes, it was me, Chin Ann and Kyuzo once again when Chin Ann fetched us from Original Kayu restaurant and from there we headed towards Ke Lok Si and now for some food before we head home to Kuala Lumpur again. It’s better to eat some Asam Laksa (Sour Assam Laksa).

Uncle Poses for Air Itam Laksa Stall

What was the response after eating this? Here’s what.

Kyuzo and Chin Ann after Asam Laksa

Chin Ann had 2 bowls of Asam Laksa and Kyuzo smiling after having his fill of Asam Laksa. You can see how delicious it is.

Then finally it was time for us to leave Penang. It will be many more days before coming back to Penang once again. Who knows, it could be the year after with only a few more months to 2011.

Kyuzo Misses Penang

Though some people took it too seriously as he looked upon the shores of Penang Island and wondered to himself.

Yes, we took the ferry back to the mainland. It was then a drive all the way to Kuala Lumpur. So see you again Penang Island. Who knows, I’ll be there most probably next year Penang Bridge Marathon 2011. This time aiming for the 42km run.

Bye Bye Penang

BYE BYE PENANG!!!
