Trying Hard To Smile

Posted by danielctw On November - 15 - 2008

If you actually knew me, you would have known that I hardly smile in my photos. Not that I don’t want to, but just that I can’t seem to smile in front of a camera. So it took me months of practice and maybe a small little effort to see how I smile in front of a mirror.

That’s because I have a bad talent for smiling for the camera. If I do smile, I keep it at a minimum. Guessed it’s the way I was brought up. I was more of a lone ranger, doing things on my own and finishing them. Even in college, the reason it is, is because I cannot trust their work seeing how bad things turned up during first semester. Thus slowly it became habitual. I was one who was never to rely on anyone but to self sufficiently provide on my own. Thus became the journey of changing myself.

All this starts to change when I first started working. I started to rely on seniors for guidance until a certain degree. After that, the self reliance part of me started to kick in once again. The smile was there, but it was short lived. I guessed things don’t change for awhile. Then slowly the people there became a norm for me, that I started having fun, well it all ended once again after I left that place. It wasn’t the people then, but the things that happened there.

After what seemed like a pose of coolness all the time, there came a time that I started trying to smile ever since. Well, still trying but it’s never easy for someone who hardly smiles. I do smile but I hardly show it, why smile? Then someone said, “Smile, it’ll make you feel better!” I heeded to this sentence, and indeed tried to.

So how does my faint little smile looks? Maybe is not a smile to you, but ever so, I hope it’ll brighten up your day. You never know how important a smile is to someone until you start smiling. So I guessed I should start smiling too.

Sexy Mouse and Pad

Posted by danielctw On November - 13 - 2008

Those days, if you still remember when I was a very very very small time blogger (okay I am still a small time blogger but those days I was very very***), I did some random postings on the blog and it became part of me and I became part of it. My sexy mouse and pad.

Back then we all thought of a mouse as a normal tool, but little did we know that a mouse is more of an accessory. There are so many designs, until there are even sexy ones…. WTF!!!

Look!!! No Bra Mouse!! Now I wonder who will buy this kind of mouse? It’s USB too. Now this is what I call PLUG-AND-PLAY.Actually I was thinking of buying this mouse for a friend on his birthday. HAHAHAHAHA!!! Whose birthday is coming right up now?

But but but…. wait, how can a mouse be complete. A mouse this interesting wouldn’t be completed without it’s pad. I meant mouse pad. Sad that this is just an optical mouse, it needs a pad. So I have to survey over the Internet and practically search for a mouse pad.

Wheee… and here’s what I got!

Huh?? What’s that??? Breast?? Huh?? No no no… look closer.. feel how I feel.

Wedding of Christy on Monday

Posted by danielctw On November - 11 - 2008

It was a night to remember for my ex-colleague in one of my longest serving company. I wished Christy and her husband a bright future. Well, coming from me who has been there like 4 years ago. Woots… time pass but hope the friendship stays yeah. As expected many ex-colleagues were there and it was more like a gathering of friends.

So to cut the long story short, presenting the couple.

Christy Wedding Couple

I didn’t really take any other shots that day, since I wasn’t the official photographer but just to shoot for fun. But nevertheless, I did take a few other shots with former colleagues too.

Glass on Table

Wondering Glass…. Perhaps it’s time to show some human photos.

Me and Janice Ex-Colleague

A close ex-colleague. I think we’re tired from working eh… especially I came straight to office. She’s momentarily single, so anyone needs to know her, come come send me your resume. :P

Need more randomness, it was a lazy day and yes, I am still tired from yesterday’s function. Now see what happens if you don’t come again to my site?

Madagascar 2 Premier Passes Nuffnang

Posted by danielctw On November - 9 - 2008

Oh right, before I can say anything else, I should actually thank the sponsors for this show, well, to me they are my sponsors… I’ve got the invite for the Nuffnang Madagascar 2 movie a few days ago and boy did I enjoy the movie. Also thank you someone that got me into the next line of movie passes :P . You know who you are. :)

Madagascar 2 Premier

To say the least, I was actually grateful that I got to watch this movie after my exhilarating  day in office, with so much crappy work to do. So it sure was a relief of headache and constant laughing in another night of movie, and yes… it indeed is laughable, alright…..

I am sure those who have watched the first episode was laughing about the antiques of the zoo friends, well, for me I sure did enjoy the second one as much as the first one too. Marty the Zebra, especially was entertaining. The famous one was the song “I like to Move It Move It, He likes to move it move it, We like to MOVE IT!!!!” Imagine animals all dancing to a movie and the part of the dancing lion.

In the first episode, or rather the first installment of Madagascar, the story main character revolves around the friends and barely mentioned about the penguins. Oh right, remember the penguins… XD they are back here alright and they are ready to kick some butt.

If you are a fan of cuteness, 哈哈哈!! Then I am sure a few of you would remember Mort the Lemur, the one with the cute eyes.

I Am Mort The Lemur

Well, Mort basically was more of a cameo role in here, and even though he was more of a pesky lemur. Well, don’t wanna give any spoilers so you’ve got to watch them yourself.

Well, just to touch a bit of the storyline, it revolves around the friends all are aiming to get back to New York and back to the zoo. Only to find themselves in Africa. The story also revolves around Alex the Lion who soon unfolds his past life as a lion cub in Africa. There are many twist and turn in the story, and there are also ‘mixed’ relationships happening.

One quote I love though is, “The name so nice, you need to call them twice!” Well, from this post you can see how much I thank Nuffnang and the people involved in this event a very very big thank you!!!!!

Also got to meet with other nuffies there. Well, glad to meet some familiar faces, CincauHangus, Karena and Eri Peng, YapThomas there to name a few whom I actually talked to. Also finally know who are wetwetwater, Chingy and also Robb.

ps : Bulat, when wanna go next movie?? LOL

Economic DownTurn Negates Styling

Posted by danielctw On November - 9 - 2008

Recent economic downturn has basically affected almost the whole wide world. Well, that’s to the observation of the market value and shares of companies around. Those into unit trusts are also facing their worst nightmare.

The most recent case I heard was someone I know had a loss of about RM1 million gone for investment in Unit Trust. Well, he invested in Singapore though. Something which I can’t relate to though.

Anyway why talk about others, why not about how you all protect yourself. Hmm.. easy for lots of us to say though. I seriously think many of us cut back on trying to go for the latest styles ever since this happened. Cause going for latest trend and style cost money unless… unless the decision is made to style less.

Spoilt EyeWear

Remember this pair of shades, well.. if you’ve seen my photos with this shade, well, there won’t be anymore pictures with this shade once again. Sad to say, it is broken. So now trying to get a new piece. There are lots and lots of eyeglasses out there, but somehow, we are all spoilt for choice, am I right?

DanielCtw in Spectacles

So to cut the long story short, I shall test out a few eye wear and then proceed.

Now well, for some of them who didn’t know I used to wear spectacles for awhile when I was young, which was about the time when I was 8 years old. Then I stopped wearing them as my eyesight was deemed good. Well, and with different power for both eyes, it wasn’t going to be easy to so called put on.

But those days those frames are superbly expensive. Now though, I believe if I ever need to get one of those frames once again, I am going to for a cheaper cost. Well, I heard though Zenni Optical is one of the cheapest. So I am keeping my options open.

So who says I can’t style myself.

ps : By the way, I believe this photo makes me look fat. But please focus on the spectacles instead. Haha!! Ya, I just cut my hair.
