Relationship is Tough

Posted by danielctw On March - 6 - 2008

What makes a relationship so easy? So you think being in a relationship is easy eh? Well, with the story lines of fairy tale stories and also with Japanese mangas and animes spoiling our thoughts all on relationships. Sad to say, all the happy endings that one see in comics, fairy tales doesn’t apply at all, and being in a relationship is not all about being lovey dovey and how nice to meet with each another.

Well, if you’re reading this and still in the studying stage, you might not agree with me, as you love company and the feeling of having someone alongside you. But but but… times change, and suddenly one day you’re out there working your ass off, trying to gain that extra moolah (money) for the benefit of your usefulness. Then in the relationship, not everything is as easy as it seems. This time being in a relationship is not about being lovey dovey and go out to super class dinners, etc. One have to be concerned about the other party as to whether this is the person who one can rely to be the lifetime partner.

There are people who contradict with me, saying, well time might change a person, but if that person has always been saying that ever since they are single and in the same relationship, I wonder if it will ever work. Take for example, how many of you have ever fulfilled some of the New Year resolutions, always wanted to learn something or achieve something which is possible but then took the long long time and some don’t even do anything about it.

Now why is relationship tough?
Now let me break down in simple simple sentences.

It is tough because you care for the relationship to grow and not just let bygones be bygones. You want the relationship to succeed, and in order to achieve that, both must have a goal for that relationship.

It is tough because taking into account your financial and status, everything in this world come at a price. You can’t expect next time to be a full time house wife(female) if the financial security isn’t enough. Don’t just wished for it, think about it instead.

It is tough because when in a relationship, people tend to overlook the little things that might affect them due to all the love they receive that when they realised it too late, love on it’s own is not going to help in sustaining the physical and material needs of a successful relationship.

Guessed time changes everything. Now we’re living in a city, a city, a metropolitan to some, of course, the cost also will increase. So it’s the truth and cruel world out there. So now you know, what can you do then. I’ve taken my step to ensure that I am well equipped in the mean time, what about you :)

Food Hungry Till Simple Food

Posted by danielctw On March - 4 - 2008

These past few days, for those that follow me on my travels and adventures will know that it’s been quite a posh life. Eating and dining at specific places which sometimes might drain my positive cashflow if I keep on doing it over and over again. Well, some of the places that I ought to think back was the one in The Green Room. Yes, for a starter, The Green Room is a Japanese Restaurant, though I ain’t gonna elaborate much of it, so here’s a close shot of part of the food I’ve ordered.

Sashimi Set
The Sashimi Set, raw raw fishes

Even going to places like Soul’ed Out, nice experience, drunk that test tube margarita which was kind of like something new to me. Well, sometimes my passion to look for food and new places to eat drives me places. Even when I had my Sushi Zen a couple of months ago, yes, Japanese food which gives me flavor. I must say, most of my $$$ has gone to food and also on traveling. Even my parents has enquired me to lower down my spending power. Well, I am a slave to food and travel I guessed, but looks like something has to be done.

Sake Sashimi

There are tonnes and many more places which I have gone to eat, but of course not everything is ‘bloggable‘ as the camera is not always 24/7 around with me. Someone suggested to me a solution, is that to cut down on my food searching quest. Well, I think I might do that. But if you know me, I eat almost everytime I can find time to. Seriously, for my size, you wouldn’t have thought I have this appetite, but then I guessed I am.

Now if I don’t stop this, I will have to buckle my pants and then maybe sit on my underwear waving myself and begging on the street. I guessed I just have to rely on mamak food for now.

Mee Goreng Mamak
Yes!! Only Mee Goreng Mamak(Mamak Fried Noodle) with Bullseye Egg on Top

So there you have it, recently been eating too much mamak food, with my favourite teh tarik, kopi O, horlicks. A side effect though, I’ve been putting on weight on certain places which I don’t want to put on. Damn tummy, looks like it’s back to exercise for me!!!

ps : I guess I bore you to reading this, but it’s a motivational thingy for me!

pss : In reality, I just want to go for my next mamak session!!! Ho ho ho, just back from mamak also!!

A month to Mt Kinabalu

Posted by danielctw On March - 2 - 2008

I can’t wait for the next trip. Yes, the following month, I can finally be on my way to climb the highest peak in South East Asia. It’s at Mount Kinabalu, Sabah, East Malaysia. Though I think this won’t be the end of my sudden rush of outings and trips and even holidays.

Based on my research on Mount Kinabalu according to WikiTravels, one can go to the top of Low’s Peak which is about 4,095.2m above sea level but the height of the mountain is often given as 4,101m. Well, I guessed certain things I really do need to prepare which is in this case, gloves, thick shirts and maybe a ski mask. It’s bound to be cold there. More so, my parents has been up to Mt Kinabalu and I haven’t.

The trip takes up about 6 days and because it’s cheap for the amount of days traveling there, well.. I will take it. Well, getting cheap holidays package is what I would want to find. Roughly estimated around RM1k inclusive of flight tickets. For 6days and 5nights with extras of white water rafting, Island visits, hot spring and 1 day free and easy, it’s definitely worth it.

Ehh.. that reminds me, I am going to organize a trip to Bali somewhere around August. Well, so far I have 3 persons confirmed going on that day. Well, I hate last minute confirmation for this trip though as it’s not going to wait. The longer you wait, the space will become full. Well, why am I the organizer? I am thinking of going into the travel industry sometime in the future, so I need support.

There are people who asked me, do you prefer island trips or land trips, I prefer islands. Well, that explains why I always go to Redang Island yearly. :D

from Ming Tien then Souled Out to Genting

Posted by danielctw On March - 2 - 2008

Journal Entry This Time (haven’t done this for some time)
——————————
A tiring trip happened these few days. Well, one will never know how tired and a weird trip ended when it all started from a SMS from a friend.

“Later PJ food session in Ming Tien!!”

So after 6pm, went straight from office and off to Ming Tien. Wheeee~~~ gathering of old friends. Nothing abnormal at first, but just that it was a simple gathering. Then suddenly time struck 11pm, plans to have another session. So the guys and gals in the group who came straight from office are going to go to Soul’ed Out in Mont Kiara area. Soul’ed Out a nice place to gather around and have a light party and drink. It was fun chit chatting but it was spoiled by the mood that they have to close early… dang… should have gone for the happy hour time.

Our hunger for a longer outing not satisfied, everyone started to think crazy places to go. From Genting Highlands, Port Dickson, Murni’s, Malacca, Seremban and some even suggested Penang. =.=” Well, it’s already 2am, and thus all planned to go to Genting Highlands. So off we go and with my old 1996 model car, going up there seems like a butt pain. Being my first time driving up, I must say, hard.. The roads are so winding and the slope is kinda high.

Usually I must say these stuffs are usually done by college students, I guessed most of us missed our college lifes doing crazy things like these. From mamak in Genting’s to the Casino room. Finally I’ve finally went into the casino in Gentings. (ya… I know some might not believe it, but I really didn’t go casino at all before). The whole time they were in casino for 4 hours straight. Crazy people gambling, while me just silently observe.

The clock strikes 7am and arghhhh… finally it’s time to go back. I am getting a little bit sleepy already and looks like the following day I am so going to have my sleep. < only to realize that I have an appointment during lunch time in 1 Utama Shopping Mall. Man… this timing really makes me tired.

Conclusion
Once a while being this crazy can help for a change, but I guessed I won’t be doing this quite often already. My sleep ain’t enough.

Also I don’t want to drive down Gentings anymore. Stupid speedbumps and the roads are so OMGssss… winding.
